Added
Create Multiple Order Detail Templates For the Same Entity
What is it? You can create multiple Order Detail templates for the same Agency Group entity (Enterprise, Agency, Business Unit, Client Group, or Client). Order Detail templates specify which data fields are shown on the Order Details grid of an order's Order Details page.
- Previously, you could only create one Order Details template per entity.
- Now, you can create and choose between multiple Order Detail templates for the same entity. For example, you can create two Order Details templates for the same Client entity and choose which template to use when sending their order to a vendor, or when downloading the order as a PDF or Excel sheet.
Every Agency Group entity has or inherits a default Order Details template:
- If an entity has one Order Details template, that template is the default.
- If an entity has multiple Order Details templates, you can choose which one to use as the default.
- If an entity has no Order Details template, it inherits the default template of the nearest higher entity with a default.
For more information, see About Order Details Templates and Create an Order Details Template.
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- The Order Details page of specific orders, located on the Orders tab
- Order Detail templates, which are managed on the Administration > Data Fields and Templates page
Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Log In to an External Integration With Centrally Saved Credentials
What is it? There is a new option for connecting to an external integration provider: central logins.
- Previously, all login credentials were individual. When using a set of individual log in credentials, you must manually enter a username and password in order to connect to the provider.
- Now, login credentials can be central. When using a set of central login credentials, you are automatically connected to the provider because the username and password combination is stored centrally.
If there are multiple login credentials for the same provider, you can choose which set to use. For more information, see Login Types and Log In to an External Integration.
Where is it? This new feature affects the Login widget, located on the External Integrations tab.
How am I affected? All existing login credentials remain as individual logins.
Do I need to do anything? External integration logins are managed by FreeWheel. To create a central or individual login, contact your OneStrata representative.
Query Historic Adazzle Data
What is it? OneStrata enterprises that previously used Adazzle can now query historic Adazzle media order data directly within the OneStrata platform. Adazzle Analytics is a new reporting tool that is connected to the Adazzle database, and has the same look, feel, and capabilities as the current (OneStrata) Analytics tab.
For more information, see About Adazzle Analytics.
Where is it? Adazzle Analytics is a new tab within the Reports module.
Do I need to do anything? Adazzle Analytics is gated, and not enabled by default. To enable this feature, contact your OneStrata representative.
Use Actual Units to Actualize a Margin Line
What is it? There is a new option for margin actualization: actual delivered units.
- Previously, when actualizing margin activity, you could only actualize against these three triangulated values: Vendor Net Cost (VC), Margin %, and Client Net Cost (VC).
- Now, you can also actualize against delivered units by manually changing the value in the Actual Units column.
To support margin actualization with actual units, the following columns have also been added to the Margin Actualization grid:
- Client Net Rate (VC): The cost per unit that the client is charged.
- Other Income (VC): The difference between the Client Net Cost (VC) and Vendor Net Cost (VC) values, which is kept as income.
For more information, see Margin Actualization Triangulation Rules and Actualize a Margin Cost Line.
Where is it? These new columns affect the Margin Actualization grid, located on the Actualization tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — these new columns are automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises that have enabled margin actualization.
View All External Integrations on One Dashboard
What is it? The new external integration overview dashboard provides a high-level summary of a campaign's external integrations. On the overview dashboard, you can see the providers that been assigned to the campaign, their connection status, and information that is relevant to the type of integration, like the budget that has been allotted to a DSP provider.
If there are zero or more than one assigned providers, the overview dashboard is available. If there is only one assigned provider, the overview dashboard is not available.
- For example, if your campaign has two different Ad Server providers, or one Ad Server provider and one DSP provider, navigating to the External Integrations tab automatically opens the overview dashboard. From there, you can select a specific provider and open it for more information.
- However, if your campaign has one Ad Server provider and no DSP providers, navigating to the External Integrations tab directly opens the Ad Server grid of that provider.
For more information, see External Integrations Overview Dashboard UI Elements.
Where is it? This new feature affects the External Integrations tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new dashboard is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Changed
Exchange Rate Workflow Is Gated
What is it? The exchange rate workflow is now gated, and only available for OneStrata enterprises that have enabled this workflow.
- If the exchange rate workflow is enabled, you can view, create, or edit Exchange Rate records. Exchange Rate records are required for multicurrency campaigns that transact in more than one type of currency.
- If the exchange rate workflow is not enabled, Exchange Rate records are not available
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- The Exchange Rate section of a campaign's Overview tab
- The Exchange Rate section of a campaign's settings page
- The Administration > Reference Data > Exchange Rates tab
Do I need to do anything? If your OneStrata enterprise is already using the exchange rate workflow, you do not need to do anything; the exchange rate workflow remains automatically enabled.
Otherwise, by default the exchange rate workflow is not enabled. To enable this workflow, contact your OneStrata representative.
Margin Workflow Is Gated
What is it? The margin workflow is now gated, and only available for OneStrata enterprises that have enabled this workflow.
- If the margin workflow is enabled, you can add a margin to media buys or fees. You can also use the Margin Actualization grid to actualize any items with margins.
- If the margin workflow is not enabled, the margin-related fields on the Schedule grid and on Fee records are not available. The Margin Actualization grid is also not available.
Within the enabled margin workflow, there are two separate parts:
- Media margins: The ability to add a margin to media schedule buys
- If media margins are enabled, you can add a margin to a media line by setting its Cost Method value to Margin, on the Schedule grid
- If media margins are not enabled, the Margin cost method option is not available
- Fee margins: The ability to add a margin to fees and technology rates
- If fee margins are enabled, you can create and assign Fee records that have a difference between the Client Net Rate and Vendor Net Rate values
- If fee margins are not enabled, the Client Net Rate value of a Fee record is always equal to its Vendor Net Rate value, and cannot be changed
You can enable both parts of the margin workflow, or enable just one part without enabling the other.
Where is it? This change affects one or more of the following areas:
- The Margin Actualization grid, located on the Actualization tab
- Margin-related fields on the Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab
- Fee records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rate tab
Do I need to do anything? If your OneStrata enterprise is already using either or both parts of the margin workflow, you do not need to do anything; the relevant part(s) of the margin workflow remain automatically enabled.
Otherwise, by default the entire margin rate workflow is not enabled. To enable either or both parts of this workflow, contact your OneStrata representative.
Master Data Can Be Internally or Externally Sourced
What is it? There is a new, FreeWheel-managed setting that specifies whether the master data source of a OneStrata enterprise is internal or external.
- If the master data source is internal, all master data entities and certain types of reference data records are defined and managed within OneStrata
- If the master data source is external, all master data entities and certain types of reference data records are defined and managed in an external system, like SBMS, and pushed to OneStrata
Previously, all OneStrata enterprises were set to an internal master data source.
The following permissions and restrictions apply to all master data entities, Media Type records, and Cost Category records:
Action Within OneStrata | Allowed if Master Data Source Is Internal | Allowed if Master Data Source Is External |
---|---|---|
Create | Yes | No, this must be done in the external system |
Edit | Yes, but only some fields | Yes, but only some fields |
Set validation dates on | Yes | No, this must be done in the external system |
Deactivate | Yes | No, this must be done in the external system |
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- All master data entities on the Administration > Entity Management page
- Media Type records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Media tab
- Cost Category records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Cost Categories tab
Do I need to do anything? No — the appropriate master data source setting for your OneStrata enterprise is automatically applied for you.
Schedule Template Data Fields Can Be Default or Hidden
What is it? Schedule templates now distinguish between default and hidden fields.
- Previously, a schedule template explicitly specified every data field on a schedule. Data fields were always or never included on the Schedule grid, depending on whether they were specified on the schedule template or not.
- Now, when creating a schedule template, you can classify data fields as default or hidden.
- Default data fields: Displayed on the Schedule grid by default, but can be manually removed or re-added via the column picker
- Hidden data fields: "Hidden" from the schedule; cannot be added to the Schedule grid
- Fields that are not explicitly classified as default or hidden: Not displayed on the Schedule grid by default, but can be manually added or removed via the column picker.
The new data field classifications provide greater schedule building flexibility, because data fields can be added to or removed from the Schedule grid as needed, when needed.
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- The Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab
- Schedule templates, which are managed on the Administration > Data Fields and Templates page
How am I affected? For existing schedule templates, the following applies:
- All data fields that were specified on the template become default data fields
- All other data fields become hidden data fields
You can still edit existing schedule templates and reclassify data fields as default or hidden. However, changes do not apply retroactively—any data fields that were classified as default or hidden on the template when a schedule was created remain default or hidden on the Schedule grid, even if the data field's classification on the template changes later on.
Do I need to do anything? No — these changes are automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
Tax Workflow Is Gated
What is it? The tax workflow is now gated, and only available for OneStrata enterprises that have enabled this workflow.
- If the tax workflow is enabled, you can view, create, and edit Tax records. Tax records can be assigned to specific Client or Payee entities, in order to indicate the taxes that the Client or Payee should be charged or paid.
- If the tax workflow is not enabled, Tax records are not available.
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- The Administration > Reference Data > Taxes tab
- The Administration > Entity Management > Clients > (Specific Client) > Taxes tab
- The Administration > Entity Management > Payees > (Specific Payee) > Taxes tab
Do I need to do anything? By default, the tax workflow is not enabled. To enable this workflow, contact your OneStrata representative.
