Schedules
Automatically and Manually Soft Lock Fees
What is it? Fees can be automatically and manually soft locked. Since items that are soft locked must be manually unlocked before they can be edited, soft locking ensures that changes with potential financial impacts are done carefully.
- Previously, soft locking did not apply to Fee lines. Only media Schedule grid lines, like Placements, could be soft locked.
- Now, fees can also be soft locked.
- Automatically: When any of the billing periods within a fee are actualized in OneStrata, the corresponding Fee line is automatically soft locked on the Schedule grid.
- Manually: The entire Fee line or any of the individual billing periods within the fee can be manually soft locked at any time on the Schedule grid.
For more information, see About Soft Locks and Hard Locks.
Where is it? This new feature affects Fee lines on the Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Improved Advertiser View Page Export
What is it? The Advertiser View page is now exported as an Excel file with one worksheet tab, making it easier to convert the Excel version of the Advertiser View page into a PDF.
- Previously, the Advertiser View page was exported as an Excel file with two tabs; one with campaign, schedule, and billing details, and one with signatures and terms and conditions.
- Now, all Advertiser View sections, including signatures and terms and conditions, are exported into the same Excel tab.
Where is it? This change affects the exported version of the Advertiser View page, located on the Schedule tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
Improved Multi-User Media Schedule Concurrency
What is it? The backend logic for Schedule grid concurrency was updated:
When multiple users are making changes to the same campaign schedule, only the first user that saves has all of their changes saved.
- When any of the other users attempts to save, their changes are discarded (preventing users from creating possibly conflicting schedules) and a notification is displayed.
- The notification informs the user that their changes have been discarded and prompts them to refresh the page and load the latest saved schedule.
- Since this notification is only displayed when a user tries to save their changes, users are recommended to save frequently.
Where is it? This change affects the Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
Schedule Import Template Rows Can Be Sorted, Filtered, Wrapped, and Deleted
What is it? Rows in a schedule import Excel template can now be sorted, filtered, wrapped, and deleted in Excel, making it easier to use schedule import templates.
Notes:
- Since schedule import templates are protected worksheets, sorting rows requires selecting the appropriate rows (excluding the header row) and using Excel's Custom Sort feature.
- Deleting a row in a schedule import template does not cancel the corresponding Schedule grid line when the template is imported back into OneStrata. Canceling a Schedule grid line must be done directly in the Schedule grid.
For more information, see Export or Import a Schedule.
Where is it? This change affects schedule import templates, which can be downloaded through the Import/Export button on the Schedule tab.
How am I affected? Any existing schedule import templates are not affected. This change only affects new schedule import templates downloaded after the release of OneStrata version 25.2.25 (released on March 12, 2025).
Reminder: Since media schedules can have different columns, column orders, and/or custom fields, it is recommended to download a new schedule import template for every campaign.
Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
External Integrations
Link Multiple External Entities to a Cost Line
What is it? Cost Lines on the DSP, Search, and Social grids can be linked to multiple external entities, within the same external integration provider:
DSP | |
Search | |
Social |
For actualization, if a Cost Line is linked to multiple entities, the delivery metrics for all of the linked entities are aggregated at the billing period and Cost Line levels.
Where is it? This new feature affects the following external integration dashboards:
- The DSP dashboard
- The Search dashboard
- The Social dashboard
How am I affected? Existing Cost Lines and their already linked entities, if any, are not affected.
However, as per Updated External Integration Dashboards, linking an entity to a Cost Line is now performed through the row action icon. For links to more information about linking entities to Cost Lines, see the table in the What is it? section above.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
New DSP Integration with Beeswax
What is it? Beeswax is now available as an external DSP integration, streamlining the campaign management process across OneStrata and Beeswax.
Enterprises that have added Beeswax as an external DSP can do the following:
- From OneStrata, use a Cost Line to create a new Beeswax campaign. The Cost Line is automatically linked to the newly created campaign.
- Link a Cost Line to an existing Beeswax campaign.
- View the delivery metrics of a linked Beeswax campaign. The delivery metrics can be used for actualization.
Where is it? This new feature affects the DSP dashboard, located on the External Integrations tab.
Do I need to do anything? Before Cost Lines can be linked to Beeswax campaigns, the external integration between OneStrata and Beeswax must be manually added. For more information, see Create an External Integration.
Updated External Integration Dashboards
What is it? The layout of the DSP, Search, and Social dashboards were updated:
- The selection checkbox on each DSP, Search, or Social grid line was removed.
- The action button footer that appeared when a Cost Line was selected was also removed.
- The selection checkbox and action button footer are replaced by a row action icon (three vertical dots) on each DSP, Search, or Social grid line. The row action icons are displayed on the right side of the grid.
- The Rate Type column was removed.
- The ID and External ID columns were removed. ID and external ID values were moved to the Name column.
- The Vendor Net Cost column was renamed to the Budget column.
- For DV360, linking DV360 campaigns is now managed in the Campaign Details section, instead of in the DSP grid.
These changes simplify the linking of Cost Lines to external entities and the management of linked Cost Lines.
Where is it? These changes affect the following external integration dashboards:
- The DSP dashboard
- The Search dashboard
- The Social dashboard
How am I affected? Existing Cost Lines and their already linked entities, if any, are not affected.
However, the following actions have a slightly different workflow, since they are now performed through the row action icon:
- Link an entity to a Cost Line
- Unlink an entity from a Cost Line
- Update an entity linked to a Cost Line
- View the details of an entity linked to a Cost Line
For more information, see DSP Grid Reference, Search Grid Reference, and Social Grid Reference.
Do I need to do anything? No — these changes are automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
Reports Module
Analytics
Query Additional Unit Types in Analytics
What is it? 27 unit types were added to Analytics, making it easier to see the number of secondary units committed for a particular Schedule grid line.
These unit types are measures in the Ad Unit table:
These measures represent the number of units committed for a specific unit type, at the Media Line level. For example, if a Cost Line has a Media Line Views value of 100,000, this means that 100,000 views were committed for that Cost Line, at the Media Line level.
Where is it? These new measures are available in Analytics, which is located on the Reports > Explore Analytics > OneStrata tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — these new measures are automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
View Most Recent Data Retrieval Time
What is it? A new "Last Updated" footer in Analytics displays the date and time that data was most recently retrieved from the OneStrata data warehouse, in the time zone of the enterprise.
Where is it? This new footer is available in Analytics, which is located on the Reports > Explore Analytics > OneStrata tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new footer is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Administration Module
Data Fields and Templates
Negative Values in Custom Data Fields Remain Negative When Exported
What is it? The backend logic for exporting custom data fields was updated:
- Now, when custom data fields with negative values are exported, the negative values are exported successfully and remain negative.
- Previously, exporting a custom data field with a negative value would cause an internal error and/or the negative value would be exported as a positive value.
Where is it? This change affects the following areas:
- The Advertiser View page and its exported version.
- The Ad Server grid and its exported version.
- The Schedule grid and its exported version.
- The Order Details page and its exported version.
Do I need to do anything? Depends on whether the campaign that contains the custom data field was created before or after the release of OneStrata version 25.2.25 (March 12, 2025):
- Existing campaigns created before the release of 25.2.25: Custom data fields with negative values will not be exported properly until the following actions are taken:
- Remove the custom data field from the appropriate template (the Advertiser View template, External Integrations template, Media Schedule template, or Order Details template).
- Save the template.
- Re-add the custom data field to the template.
- Save the template again.
- New campaigns created after the release of 25.2.25: No action is required — the backend logic update is automatically applied to all new campaigns.
Use Multiple Delimiters in Concatenated Formulas
What is it? Concatenated formula data fields can now use multiple types of delimiters in the same formula. For example, a concatenated formula can use underscores and commas. Periods are also now available as possible delimiters.
Previously, only one type of delimiter could be used per formula; for example, only underscores or only commas.
For more information, see Create a Concatenated Formula Data Field.
Where is it? This new feature affects concatenated formula data fields, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Data Fields and Templates tab.
How am I affected? Any existing concatenated formula data fields remain as-is, with a single type of delimiter, but can be updated to use multiple types of delimiters.
Reminder: Newly created data fields (and changes to existing data fields) are only available for campaigns created after the data field was created or edited. The newly created or edited data field is not available for any already existing campaigns.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
