Add Valid-From Dates to Fee Record Client Rates
What is it? Individual client rates (at the Client, Client Group, or All Clients level) on a Fee record can now have custom Valid From dates. By default, this date is the same as the valid-from date of the containing Fee record, but can be changed to any date within the valid from/to date range of the Fee record.
Previously, individual client rates could have a custom valid-to date, but not a custom valid-from date. Instead, the valid-from date of the client rate was always the same as the valid-from date of the containing Fee record, and could not be changed.
A Fee record can have multiple client rates for the same client, as long as the valid from/to dates do not overlap. For example, the Client Rate Details section of a Fee record could look like the table below, reducing the need to create multiple Fee records for individual client rates at specific time periods:

Where is it? This new column affects Fee records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rate tab.
How am I affected? This new column has the following impacts:
- For any existing client rates on any existing Fee records, the valid-from date of the client rate is automatically set to the valid-from date of the Fee record, but can be changed.
- The level and dates of a client rate determine which campaigns the client rate can be applied to. For more information, see Client Rate Availability.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new column is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Enter Free-Form Text In Custom Dropdown Lists
What is it? Picklist data fields/custom dropdown lists that are added to the Schedule grid or the Ad Server grid now have the option of allowing or not allowing free-form text:
- If the Free-Form Text option is enabled, you can manually enter a new value, instead of selecting a value from the list of pre-defined options.
- If the Multi-select option is also enabled, you can enter multiple free-form values, in addition to selecting multiple pre-defined values.
- If the Free-Form Text option is not enabled, you can only select a value from the list of pre-defined options.
By default, the Free-Form Text option is not enabled. For more information, see Create a Picklist Data Field.
Where is it? This new option affects picklist data fields, which are managed on the Administration > Data Fields & Templates > Data Fields tab:
- Cost Line-level, Media Line-level, and Ad Unit-level picklist data fields can be added to the Schedule grid.
- Ad Placement-level picklist data fields can be added to the Ad Server grid.
How am I affected? Once a free-form value has been created, it cannot be edited, only deleted and re-created.
Free-form values are not saved as new, pre-defined dropdown options. For example, if you have a Cost Line-level picklist data field called Market and manually enter New York City for a particular Placement line on the Schedule grid, that value of New York City is not saved as a dropdown option that can be selected by other Cost Lines.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new option is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
Reminder: Newly created data fields (and changes to existing data fields) are only available for campaigns created after the data field was created or edited; the newly created or edited data field is not available for any campaigns that already exist.
Manage Vendor Inbox Account Settings
What is it? The new Account Settings page in Vendor Inbox (VI) enables VI users to self-serve and directly manage their account:
- Edit VI user profile and contact information
- Reset password
Where is it? This new page is available in Vendor Inbox.
How am I affected? Seller users that have access to both OneStrata and Vendor Inbox use the same login credentials for both platforms, so resetting the password on either platform's account settings page resets the password for both platforms.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new page is automatically available for all Vendor Inbox users.
View Delivered Primary Units In Queries
What is it? There is a new analytics measure in the Delivery table called Primary Units, which indicates the number of delivered units. This value is available for:
- Cost Lines (and their Billing Period lines) that are
- Connected to Vendor Inbox, because the Cost Line is part of an order that was sent to an In-System order partner; or
- Linked to an entity on an external integration provider. As of 9.11, Cost Lines can be linked to entities on DSP providers and Search providers.
- Cost Lines (and their Billing Period lines) that contain one or more Ad Placement lines that are linked to an external ad server placement.
This new measure makes it easier to create delivery pacing queries and reports because, like the Number of Units measure in the Order Costs table, the Primary Units measure is unit type-agnostic and therefore more flexible.
Where is it? This new measure is available on OneStrata Analytics, which is located on the Reports > Explore Analytics > OneStrata tab.
How am I affected? As of 9.11, the Primary Units measure is only available for Cost Lines that have a rate type with one of the following unit types:
- Views
- Viewable impressions
- Visits
- Clicks
- Impressions
Do I need to do anything? No — this new measure is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.
View Predefined Analytics Reports
What is it? The new Predefined Reports page, part of the Reports module, contains predefined reports for easy access and analysis:
- Order Detail Report - Summary by Agency by Month: A summary of order costs, grouped by Agency and month.
- Order Detail Report - Summary by Supplier by Month: A summary of order costs, grouped by Supplier and month.
- Order Detail Report - Summary by Client by Month: A summary of order costs, grouped by Client and month.
- Order Summary Report: A summary of order- and Cost Line-level details.

Predefined reports cannot be edited, with a few caveats:
- Certain filters can be applied to predefined reports. For more information, see System Predefined Reports Reference.
- Users with the appropriate permissions can copy predefined reports as new reports that can then be edited.
Where is it? These new reports are available on the Predefined Reports page, which is part of the Reports module.
How am I affected? This new page requires the following user role permissions:
- The Reports > Analytics > View Reports permission is required to access the Predefined Reports page and view/filter a predefined report.
- The Reports > Analytics > Create/Modify Reports permission is required to copy and save a predefined report as a new report.
Do I need to do anything? No — this new page is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

Updated Dependent Field Validation
What is it? The backend logic for dependent field validation is now stricter:
- Invalid dependent fields cannot be committed or actualized.
- Invalid dependent fields are not changed by the system on behalf of the user.
A dependent field is a field whose validity depends on the value of another field. For example, if the dates of an estimate do not completely cover the dates of a Cost Line, the estimate cannot be linked to the Cost Line. In this example, that estimate is an invalid dependent field.
Dependent field validation occurs during commit and actualization. If a Cost Line with an invalid dependent field is committed or a Billing Period line with an invalid dependent field is actualized, the commit or actualization process fails and a warning is displayed.
Where is it? These changes affect the following areas:
- The Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab.
- The Standard Actualization and Margin Actualization grids, located on the Actualization tab.
Do I need to do anything? No — these changes are automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
Updated Reports Module Navigation
What is it? The Reports module navigation menu has been reorganized:
- The Analytics and Adazzle Analytics pages have been combined into the Explore Analytics page:
- OneStrata data is available on the Explore Analytics > OneStrata tab.
- Adazzle data is available on the Explore Analytics > Adazzle tab.
- The new Predefined Reports page provides quick access to helpful, predefined reports.
Where is it? This change affects the entire Reports module.
How am I affected? This change affects the following user role permissions:
- The Reports > Analytics > View Reports permission is required to access the Predefined Reports page.
- The Reports > Analytics > Create/Modify Reports permission is required to access the Explore Analytics page.
