Other Information

Campaigns Module

Media Campaigns

Manually Archived Campaigns Are Marked as "Manually Archived"

What is it? If a campaign is manually archived, its status changes from Active to Manually Archived.

  • Previously, both manually archived campaigns and auto-archived campaigns had a status of Archived. Campaigns are automatically archived when the end date of the campaign is six months in the past.
  • Now, manually archived campaigns have a status of Manually Archived and auto-archived campaigns have a status of Archived, making it easier to tell how a campaign was archived.

Reminder: Manually archiving a campaign does not cancel any of the Schedule grid in the campaign. If desired, the Schedule grid lines must be manually canceled; see Cancel a Schedule Grid Line.

Where is it? This change affects the Media Campaigns grid, located on the Media Campaigns page.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.

External Integrations (Ad Server)

Ad Placement/Package Name Length Capped at 512 Characters

What is it? The maximum character length of the Name / ID field on the Ad Server grid is 512 characters; if an Ad Placement and Ad Package line has a name that is longer than 512 characters, the name is automatically truncated. This character limit is based on Google Campaign Manager 360's (CM360) maximum placement name length.

The Name / ID field has a new character counter, helping users quickly see how long an Ad Placement or Ad Package name is.

Where is it? This change affects the Ad Server grid, located on the Ad Server dashboard.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.

Video Duration Automatically Uploaded to CM360

What is it? When uploading a video Ad Placement to Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360), the duration of the video is also uploaded.

For example, if the format of the Ad Placement is Pre-Roll :15, the format dimension of 15 seconds is included in the upload to CM360. If the Ad Placement does not specify a duration, it is uploaded with a default duration of Any.

  • Previously. video Ad Placements were always uploaded with a duration of Any. The duration of the CM360 video placement had to be manually updated afterwards.
  • Now, video Ad Placements are uploaded with the correct duration, making it easier and faster to manage video placements within CM360.

Where is it? This change affects OneStrata Ad Placement lines that are uploaded to CM360. Ad Placement lines are managed on the Ad Server grid, located on the Ad Server dashboard.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.

Actualization

Actualize Assigned Fees Using System-Calculated Values

What is it? The Standard Actualization and Margin Actualization grids have new columns that make it easier and faster to actualize Assigned fees:

Actualization GridColumn NameDescription
StandardCalculated Fee CostThe system-calculated vendor cost of the standard Assigned fee, for the billing period(s) being actualized.
StandardFee Calculated UnitsThe system-calculated number of units of the standard Assigned fee, for the billing period(s) being actualized.
MarginFee Calculated Vendor CostThe system-calculated vendor cost of the margin Assigned fee, for the billing period(s) being actualized.
MarginFee Calculated Client CostThe system-calculated client cost of the margin Assigned fee, for the billing period(s) being actualized.
MarginFee Calculated UnitsThe system-calculated number of units of the margin Assigned fee, for the billing period(s) being actualized.

Previously, all of these values had to be manually calculated.

Now, users can actualize Assigned fees without having to manually calculate each value for each billing period. For more information, see Actualize an Assigned Fee.

Where is it? These new columns are part of the Standard Actualization and Margin Actualization grids, located on the Actualization tab.

Do I need to do anything? No — these new columns are automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

Reports Module

Analytics

Ad Placement Custom Fields Are Available in Analytics

What is it? Ad Placement-level custom fields are available in Analytics and can be queried. Previously, only Cost Line-, Media Line-, and Ad Unit-level custom fields were supported.

Like other custom fields, an Ad Placement-level custom field becomes available in Analytics within approximately one hour after the custom field is first used in a campaign.

Where is it? This change affects Analytics, which is located on the Reports > Explore Analytics > OneStrata tab.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.

Administration Module

Reference Data (Fees & Tech Rates)

Filter Suppliers By Type When Creating a Fee Record

What is it? When creating a new Fee record, the newly added Supplier Type field restricts the selectable vendor contract entities (the Payee, Order Partner, and Supplier entities):

  • If Supplier Type is Media: The Payee, Order Partner, and Supplier dropdown fields only display vendor contract entities that meet the following conditions:
    • The Payee, Order Partner, or Supplier is part of an existing Contract entity; and
    • That Contract contains at least one Media supplier.
  • If Supplier Type is Non-Media: The Payee, Order Partner, and Supplier dropdown fields only display vendor contract entities that meet the following conditions:
    • The Payee, Order Partner, or Supplier is part of an existing Contract entity; and
    • That Contract contains at least one Non-Media supplier.

The Supplier Type field makes it easier to create a media or non-media Fee record, because the appropriate vendor contract entities are automatically fred and displayed.

Where is it? This change affects Fee records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rate tab.

How am I affected? For any existing Fee records, the Supplier Type field automatically displays the type (Media or Non-Media) of the Supplier associated with the Fee record.

Do I need to do anything? No — this new field is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

Vendor Gross Cost Removed From New Assigned Fee Records

What is it? When creating a new Assigned Fee record, Vendor Gross Cost is no longer available as a cost type option.

Now, the cost type options for an Assigned Fee record are:

Where is it? This change affects Assigned Fee records, which are managed on the Administration > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rate tab.

How am I affected? Any existing Assigned Fee records based on Vendor Gross Cost are not affected and can be used normally; this change only affects new Assigned Fee records.

Central Fee records are also not affected, because the only cost type option for Central Fee records is Vendor Net Cost.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises

Data Fields and Templates

Customize Campaign Details and Billing Summary Sections on the Advertiser View Template

What is it? The Campaign Details and Billing Summary sections on the Advertiser View template can be customized.

  • Previously, the columns in these sections were fixed and could not be removed.
  • Now, the columns in these sections can be removed and re-added as desired.

For more information, see System Default Advertiser View Template.

Where is it? This new feature affects the Advertiser View template, which is managed on the Administration > Data Field and Templates page.

How am I affected? Changes to the Advertiser View template do not apply retroactively. If the Advertiser View template is changed, only campaigns created after the Advertiser View template is changed and saved will display the changes.

Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

Updated System Default Advertiser View Template

What is it? The columns and column order of the system default Advertiser View template were updated:

  • Campaign Details section: Simplified to the Start Date, End Date, Campaign Name, Budget, and Product columns.
  • Billing Summary section: Simplified to the Client Gross Cost (CC), Client Net Cost (CC), and Client Total Cost (CC) columns.

For more information, see System Default Advertiser View Template.

Where is it? This change affects Advertiser View templates, which are managed on the Administration > Data Field and Templates page.

How am I affected? Existing Advertiser View templates are not affected and continue to have the same columns and column orders; this change only affects new Advertiser View templates.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.
