Log In To/Out From an External Provider

Log in to an External Integration Provider

To log in to an external integration provider, do the following:

  1. Open a campaign that the provider has been assigned to.

  2. Depending on the provider type, choose the appropriate action:

  3. In the Provider Login section, click the Log In button to open the Login widget.

  4. In the Login widget:

    External Integration CredentialSelect the desired set of login credentials.

    Click the Log In icon.

    Only available if the credentials are individually stored

    Username

    Enter the username configured for the selected set of login credentials.

    Only available if the credentials are individually stored

    Password

    Enter the password configured for the selected set of login credentials.



  5. Click the Log In button to log into the external integration.

Log out from an External Integration Provider

To log out from an external integration provider, do the following:

  1. Open a campaign that the provider has been assigned to.

  2. Depending on the provider type, choose the appropriate action:

  3. In the Provider Login section, click the Log Out button.

When linking an Ad Placement to an external placement, there are two options:

Link to a new external placement
  1. Upload the Ad Placement to the Ad Server provider, creating a new external placement.
  2. The Ad Placement is automatically linked to the newly created external placement.
Link to an existing external placement
  1. Search for the existing external placement.
  2. Link the Ad Placement to the existing external placement.

To link an Ad Placement to a new external placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be linked.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard.

  3. If not logged in already, log in to the Ad Server provider.

  4. If not linked already, link the OneStrata campaign to an external campaign. Linking a campaign to an ad server campaign is required before any Ad Placements can be linked.

  5. In the Ad Server Social grid, select the desired Ad Placement.

  6. Click Upload to open the Upload widget.

  7. In the Upload widget:

    Field Name

    Include More Information

    Select whether or not to upload additional information related to the Ad Placement:

    • Yes: The default Ad Placement information is uploaded, in addition to the extra information specified below.

    • No: Only the default Ad Placement information is uploaded.

    Default Uploaded Ad Placement Information

    • If the Ad Placement is part of a Package: The name of the Package (from the Name / ID field)

    • The name of the Ad Placement (from the Name / ID field)

    • The format of the Ad Placement (from the Format field)

    • The format dimensions of the Ad Placement (from the Format Dimension field)

    • The start and end dates of the Ad Placement (from the Start Date and End Date fields)

    Only available if Include More Information is Yes.

    Include Volume when Updating

    Optional: Select the Include Volume when Updating checkbox to also upload the Units value of the Schedule grid line that created the Ad Placement being uploaded.

    Only available if Include More Information is Yes.

    Include Cost when Updating

    Optional: Select the Include Cost when Updating checkbox to also upload the value of the cost type selected below (see Cost Types), for the Schedule grid line that created the Ad Placement being uploaded.

    Only available if Include Cost when Updating is selected.

    Cost Cap Period 

    Select a cap cost option for the new ad server placement:

    • None: There is no cap cost and all media cost (the cost of placement delivery) is recorded by the Ad Server provider.

      Note: Campaign Manager 360 stops recording media cost as soon as your placement receives enough units to equal the sum of the cost for all the flights in your report.

    • Cumulative Total: Once a certain amount is reached, the media cost is no longer recorded by the Ad Server provider.

      This amount is equal to the sum of the cost of all the flight periods in the Schedule grid line that created the Ad Placement being uploaded.

    • Monthly (only if the Ad Server provider is CM360 and automatic flighting is enabled): The media cost of each automatic flight in the placement is capped. Automatic flights are almost always monthly.

    Only available if Include Cost when Updating is selected.

    Cost Types

     Select the cost type that is uploaded:

    • Vendor Gross (VC)
    • Vendor Net (VC)
    • Client Gross (CC)
    • Client Net (CC)

    The value of the cost type comes from the Schedule grid line that created the Ad Placement being uploaded.



  8. Click Upload.

To link an Ad Placement to an existing external placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be linked.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard.

  3. If not logged in already, log in to the Ad Server provider.

  4. If not linked already, link the OneStrata campaign to an external campaign. Linking a campaign to an ad server campaign is required before any Ad Placements can be linked.

  5. In the Ad Server Social grid, select the desired Ad Placement.

  6. Click Link to open the Placement Linking widget.

  7. In the Placement Linking widget:

    1. For Ad Server Placement Name, search for the desired external placement by entering at least three letters of the external name. Then, select the external placement.

    2. Click Apply.

Link a Campaign

When linking a campaign to an external campaign, there are two options:

  4. Click Link Campaign to open the Link Campaign widget, with the Create Campaign option selected.

  5. In the Link Campaign widget, enter the required information. Depending on the external integration provider, different information is required:


  6. Click Create & Link.

To link a campaign to an existing external campaign, do the following:

  1. Open the desired OneStrata campaign.

  2. Go to the appropriate dashboard:

When linking a Cost Line to an external entity, there are two options:

  1. Search for the existing external entity.
  2. Link the Cost Line to the existing external entity.

To link a Cost Line to a new external entity, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Cost Line to be linked.

  2. Go to the appropriate programmatic (DSP, Search, or Social dashboard):

  3. If not logged in already, log in to the programmatic provider.

  4. In the DSP, Search, or Social grid, for the desired Cost Line, select the row action icon (three vertical dots).

  5. Click Create to open the Upload widget, with the Create Campaign option selected.

  6. In the Upload widget, enter the required information. Depending on the external integration provider, different information is required:


  7. Click Create & Link. If needed, programmatic media buyers or traffickers can add more granular details to the newly created entity within the external integration provider's platform.

To link a Cost Line to an existing external entity, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Cost Line to be linked.

  2. Go to the appropriate programmatic (DSP, Search, or Social) dashboard:

  3. If not logged in already, log in to the programmatic provider.

  4. In the DSP, Search, or Social grid, for the desired Cost Line, select the row action icon (three vertical dots).

  5. Click Create to open the Upload widget, with the Existing Campaign option selected.

  6. In the Upload widget, enter the required information. Depending on the external integration provider, different information is required:


  7. Click Link.

Update an External Placement Linked to an Ad Placement

For a linked Ad Placement and ad server placement pair, any changes made in OneStrata to the Ad Placement are not automatically sent to the linked ad server placement. Instead, these updates must be manually uploaded.

To update an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard:
    ActionStep

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    Update a Innovid placement

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for Innovid.


  3. In the Ad Server dashboard, make the changes to the Ad Placement:

    1. Make any desired changes to the Ad Placement.

    2. Click Save Changes.

  4. Select the updated Ad Placement.

  5. Click Upload to open the Upload widget.

  6. In the Upload widget, send the changes to the Ad Server provider:

    1. Review the updated values.

    2. Click Update.

Unlinking an ad server placement from an Ad Placement has the following effects:

  • The newly unlinked Ad Placement can be linked to a different (new or existing) ad server placement.
  • Delivery data for the now-unlinked ad server placement is no longer available in OneStrata.
  • The unlinked ad server placement is not deleted automatically. If the ad server placement itself should be deleted, this must be done within the Ad Server provider platform.

To unlink an ad server placement from an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be unlinked.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard:

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    Unlink a Flashtalking placement from an Ad Placement

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.


  3. Select the Ad Placement. Only one Ad Placement can be unlinked at a time.

  4. Click the Unlink button. This opens a message asking the user to confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked.

  5. Confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked by clicking the Unlink button. The status of the Ad Placement in the Ad Server grid changes from Uploaded to Not Uploaded.

View the Delivery Metrics of an External Placement Linked to an Ad Placement

If an Ad Placement and ad server placement are linked, the vendor delivery cost and number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement can be viewed and used for actualization within OneStrata.

To view the delivery metrics of an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

  2. Go to the campaign's Actualization tab.

  3. In the Standard Actualization or Margin Actualization grid, do the following:

    1. Find the Actualization grid line that represents the linked Ad Placement, using the (Cost Line) ID or External ID values.

      Delivery data is broken out by billing period month, with each month corresponding to a Billing Period line.

    2. If necessary, scroll horizontally until the 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit columns are reached.
      Column NameDescription
      3rd Party CostThe vendor delivery cost of the linked ad server placement.
      3rd Party UnitThe number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement.


The 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit values can be used for actualization. For more information, see Actualize a Media Cost Line, making sure to select 3rd Party as the applied source.

To unlink an external campaign from a OneStrata campaign, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign.

  2. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    Unlinking a OneStrata campaign from an ad server campaign is only possible if no Ad Placements have been uploaded to the ad server campaign yet.

    Unlink a CM360 campaign from a OneStrata campaign

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    Unlink a Flashtalking campaign from a OneStrata campaign

    Go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.
    DSPUnlink a DV360 campaign from a OneStrata campaignGo to the DSP dashboard for DV360.


  3. Click the View Campaign button to open the View Campaign widget.

  4. At the bottom of the View Campaign widget, click Unlink.

View the Details of an External Campaign Linked to a Campaign

To view the details of an external campaign linked to a OneStrata campaign, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign.

  2. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    The following information about the linked external campaign is displayed:

    Linked ByThe OneStrata user who linked the OneStrata and external campaigns.
    Linked DateThe date that the OneStrata and external campaigns were linked.
    AdvertiserThe name and identifier of the external advertiser, in the external integration provider's platform.
    CampaignThe name of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.
    External IDThe identifier of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.
    Date Range / Start DateThe date range or start date of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.

Update an External Entity Linked to a Cost Line

For an entity linked to a Cost Line, any changes made in OneStrata to the Cost Line are not automatically sent to the linked entity. Instead, these updates must be manually uploaded.

To update an entity linked to a Cost Line, do the following:

  1. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    Go to the DSP dashboard for Buyer Cloud.
    Update a DV360 insertion orderGo to the DSP dashboard for DV360.

    SearchUpdate a Google Ads campaignGo to the Search dashboard for Google Ads.
    Social

    Update a Meta campaign

    Go to the Social dashboard for Meta.


  2. Review the entity information.

    Mismatching values are highlighted, but depending on whether or not the user is currently logged in to the external integration provider, the highlighted values are different:

    • Logged out: Values that are mismatched between what is currently committed on the Schedule grid and what was last uploaded to the external integration provider are highlighted with a yellow background.

    • Logged in: Values that are mismatched between what is currently committed on the Schedule grid and what is currently in the external integration provider are highlighted with a yellow background.

  3. For the desired entity, select the row action icon (three vertical dots).

  4. Select Update to open the Update widget.

  5. In the Update widget:

    1. In the Update Provider Data section, review the values. The updated values (marked with green) will be sent to the external integration provider and will replace the previously uploaded or current values (marked with red).

    2. Make any other desired changes.

    3. Click the Update button.

Unlinking an external entity from a Cost Line has the following effects:

  • Delivery data for the now-unlinked entity is no longer available in OneStrata.
  • The unlinked entity is not deleted automatically. If the external entity itself should be deleted, this must be done within the external integration provider platform.

To unlink an external entity from a Cost Line, do the following:

  1. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    Go to the Social dashboard for Meta.


  2. For the desired entity, select the row action icon (three vertical dots).

  3. Select Unlink. This opens a message asking the user to confirm that the entity should be unlinked.

  4. Confirm that the entity should be unlinked by clicking the Unlink button.

View the Details of an External Entity Linked to a Cost Line

To view the details of an external entity linked to a Cost Line, do the following:

  1. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

  2. For the desired entity, select the row action icon (three vertical dots).

  3. Select View to open the View Upload widget. Depending on the entity, different information is displayed in the View Upload widget:

View the Delivery Metrics of an External Entity Linked to a Cost Line

If multiple entities are linked to the same Cost Line, the delivery metrics for the linked entities are aggregated at the billing period and Cost Line levels.

If a Cost Line and external entity are linked, the vendor delivery cost and number of delivered units of the linked external entity can be viewed and used for actualization within OneStrata.

To view the delivery metrics of an entity linked to a Cost Line, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked entity.

  2. Go to the campaign's Actualization tab.

  3. In the Standard Actualization or Margin Actualization grid, do the following:

    1. Find the Actualization grid line that represents the linked Cost Line, using the (Cost Line) ID or External ID values.

      Delivery data is broken out by billing period month, with each month corresponding to a Billing Period line.
