Overview

The External Integrations tab provides a connection between OneStrata and the rest of an Agency's tech stack. Users can plan and build media schedules and orders in OneStrata, and then upload the ad placements directly to their integrated ad server.

OneStrata's third party integrations simplify the digital buying process by providing a single place to enter media schedule information and receive delivery metrics.

Direct integrations with external providers connect OneStrata to the rest of an agency's ad tech stack, help eliminate data duplication, and reduce the burden of maintaining data integrity across multiple systems.

Budget

The term budget is used frequently throughout the OneStrata platform and documentation, especially in sections related to external integrations.

When budget is used to describe a Cost Line linked to an external entity, the budget of a Cost Line refers to that Cost Line's committed Vendor Net Cost (VC) value.

Delivery Data

OneStrata retrieves and displays delivery metrics for Ad Placements and Cost Lines linked to an external provider, helping users understand how their campaigns are performing.

The following table provides information about delivery data retrieval frequency:

ItemDescription

Data retrieval frequency

The data retrieval frequency options are:

  • Daily: Delivery data is automatically retrieved every 24 hours, at midnight UTC.
  • Manual: Delivery data is only retrieved when manually requested.

Supplier Linking and Mapping

Suppliers create an important connection between OneStrata and an external provider platform, enabling data flow across systems.

For Ad Server providers, there are two levels of Supplier linking and mapping:

  • An Ad Server provider is linked to one or more Suppliers.
  • A Supplier is mapped to an ad server site.

For programmatic (DSP, Search, or Social) providers, there is one level of Supplier linking:

  • A programmatic provider is linked to one or more Suppliers.
Supplier linking and mapping is managed through Credential records. For more information, see Manage Supplier Linking and Mapping.

Supplier Linking and Mapping Relationships

The following table describes the Supplier linking and mapping relationships:

Provider TypeProviderSupplier Linking/Mapping

A OneStrata Supplier is mapped to a CM360 site.

Supplier Linking and Mapping Purpose

Depending on the provider type, the role of the linked/mapped Supplier(s) is different:

Provider TypeLinking / MappingPurpose
Ad Server

Provider → Supplier

Multiple Ad Server providers cannot be linked to the same Supplier.

The provider-to-Supplier linking is used for the fee assignment of ad serving costs.

When adding a fee to the media schedule to represent ad serving costs, the Supplier of the Assigned fee should be the same as the Supplier linked to the Ad Server provider.

Supplier → Ad server site

A Supplier can be mapped to more than one ad server site, if each site is from a different provider.

A Supplier cannot be mapped to more than one site from the same Ad Server provider.

When linking an Ad Placement to an ad server placement, the Supplier-to-site mapping ensures that the right ad server site is used for the ad server placement:

  • OneStrata Ad Placement → Ad server placement
  • Supplier of Ad Placement → Site of ad server placement
DSP

Provider → Supplier

Linking a programmatic provider to a OneStrata Supplier means that any Cost Lines with that Supplier can be connected to that provider.

For example, if "YourTown" is linked to Buyer Cloud, any committed Cost Line with YourTown as a Supplier is available on the DSP dashboard for Buyer Cloud, and can be linked to a Buyer Cloud campaign.
