General Updates to User Roles

What is it? Some of the backend logic for User Role records was updated:

ChangeDescription

Add Additional User Management Settings to User Roles

What is it? Three new user management-related settings are now available:

  • View User Management: Access the User Management page, view and export User records, view User Role records.
  • Generate Password: Reset and generate a new password for other users.
  • Send Password Email: Send an email to users that prompts them to reset their password.

These settings are not enabled by default, but can be enabled on any user role. For more information, see Global Settings.

Where is it? These new settings affect the Allow The User To section of User Role records, which are managed on the Admin > Reference Data > User Management > User Roles tab.

Do I need to do anything? No — these new settings are automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

"Buyer" User Role Renamed to "Digital Buyer"

What is it? For new enterprises, the "Buyer" user role is now named "Digital Buyer", making it more clear that this user role is for OneStrata Digital.

Where is it? This change affects the Digital Buyer (formerly "Buyer") user role, which is managed on the Admin > Reference Data > User Management > User Roles tab.

How am I affected? For existing enterprises, the Buyer user role remains as "Buyer". The renaming only applies to enterprises created after the release of OneStrata version 26.1.13 (January 28, 2026).

Do I need to do anything? No — this renaming is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises created after January 28, 2026.

External Integration Permissions Added to "Standard User" and "Digital Buyer" User Roles

What is it? For new enterprises, the Standard User and Digital Buyer Roles now have all Campaigns > Media Campaigns > External Integrations permissions enabled by default.

Previously, these permissions were not enabled by default.

For more information, see the Standard User and Digital Buyer columns in the Default OSD Digital App Permissions table.

Where is it? This change affects the Standard User and Digital Buyer user roles, which are managed on the Admin > Reference Data > User Management > User Roles tab.

How am I affected? For existing enterprises, the Standard User and Buyer user roles remain as-is. The new default permissions only apply to enterprises created after the release of OneStrata version 26.1.13 (January 28, 2026).

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises created after January 28, 2026.

Traditional Application Access Added to OneStrata Digital User Roles

What is it? For new enterprises that use traditional Strata applications, the following default OneStrata Digital (OSD) user roles now also have access to certain traditional Strata applications by default:

  • All Permissions: SBMS, View, Eleven, sTraffic, RFP
  • Standard User: SBMS, View, Eleven, sTraffic, RFP
  • Trainer: SBMS, View, Eleven, sTraffic, RFP
  • Finance Only: SBMS
  • Agency Administrator: SBMS, View, Eleven, sTraffic, RFP

Previously, none of the default OSD user roles had access to any traditional Strata application by default.

For more information, see Default OSD Global Settings.

Where is it? These new settings affect the Enabled Applications section of User Role records, which are managed on the Admin > Reference Data > User Management > User Roles tab.

How am I affected? For existing enterprises, the user roles listed above remain as-is. The new settings only apply to enterprises created after the release of OneStrata version 26.1.13 (January 28, 2026).

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises created after January 28, 2026.

Reference Data

Create Percentage of Media Fees Calculated on Client Media Costs

What is it? Enterprises that use the margin workflow can create percentage of media (POM) fees that are based on the client cost of the media purchase.

  • Previously, all enterprises could only create POM fees based on the vendor media cost; the value of the Cost Type field on the Fee record could only be Vendor Net.
  • Now, enterprises with the general margin workflow enabled can also create POM fees that are calculated as a percentage of the client media cost; the value of the Cost Type field can be Client Net.
    • Enterprises that also have fee margins enabled can create margin POM fees based on the vendor or client media cost. This means that the vendor cost of the fee is calculated as a certain percentage of one media cost, but the client cost of the fee is calculated as a different percentage of the same media cost.
    • Enterprises with the general margin workflow but without fee margins can only create non-margin POM fees, meaning that the vendor fee cost is the same as the client fee cost.

For more information, see Fee Record Cost Types and Fee Record Vendor and Client Rates.

Where is it? This new feature affects Fee records, which are managed on the Admin > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rates tab.

Do I need to do anything? No — this new feature is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises that use the margin workflow.

Fees Grid Filters Remain Active During User Session

What is it? Filters that are applied to the Fees grid remain active until the user ends their OneStrata session by logging out or closing the browser tab.

Previously, any filters applied to the Fees grid were reset when the user went to a different page or tab within OneStrata.

Where is it? This change affects the Fees grid, which is located on the Admin > Reference Data > Fees & Tech Rates page.

Do I need to do anything? No — this change is automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises.

Data Fields and Templates

Remove "Format Dimension" Column From the Media Schedule Template

What is it? The Format Dimension column can be removed from the Media Schedule template. For enterprises that include format dimensions in the format name (for example, if the value of Format is Square 250 x 250), removing the Format Dimension column helps avoid displaying dimension information twice.

Previously, the Format Dimension column could not be removed from the Media Schedule template.

Where is it? This change affects the Media Schedule template, which is managed on the Admin > Data Fields and Templates page.

How am I affected? Existing Media Schedule templates are not affected and continue to have the Format Dimension column, unless the template is manually updated.

Changes to templates do not apply retroactively; if the Media Schedule template is changed, only campaigns created after the template is changed and saved will display the changes.

Do I need to do anything? No — this new option is automatically available for all OneStrata enterprises.

OneStrata User Sessions Remain Active For Longer

What is it? For enterprises that use OneStrata Digital and other Strata applications, some of the backend logic for user session interactions between OneStrata and these other applications was updated:

  • Previously, you would be automatically logged out of OneStrata after 30 minutes of inactivity in OneStrata.
  • Now, as long as you have a traditional Strata application (like View, SBMS, RFP, Eleven, or sTraffic) open in the same browser window, your OneStrata browser tab will remain active and logged in.
    • Within your active OneStrata tab, you can freely go to OneStrata Digital pages and tabs, like the Schedule or Actualization tabs.
    • However, if you use your OneStrata tab to go to the Strata Home Page and open a new session for a traditional Strata application, you may need to re-authenticate and enter your user credentials again. If you have opened a new session within the last 60 minutes, you do not need to log in again. Otherwise, you will need to log in again.

These changes help users that work in OneStrata and other Strata applications stay logged in, preventing their workflow from being interrupted.

Where is it? These changes affect OneStrata Digital user sessions.

Do I need to do anything? No — these changes are automatically applied to all OneStrata enterprises that also use other Strata applications.
