Overview
Integrations with Ad Server providers enable a simplified ad trafficking workflow:
- Build and commit the media schedule in OneStrata. Committed schedule lines with a technology assignment become OneStrata Ad Placements.
- Upload OneStrata Ad Placements to an external ad server for trafficking, without re-entering details.
Ad Server Providers
There are three available Ad Server providers:
- Amazon Ad Server (formerly Sizmek)
- Campaign Manager 360 (CM360)
- Flashtalking
Service Types
Ad Server providers have two Service Types, ad serving and tracking:
Provider Type | Service Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Ad Server | Ad serving | Ad Placements are uploaded to the ad server campaign with their actual Format and Format Dimension values. |
Tracking | Ad Placements are uploaded to the ad server campaign as a 1x1 pixel tracker, regardless of the listed Format and Format Dimension values. |
Access the Ad Server Provider Dashboard
The Ad Server Provider dashboard is only available if at least one Ad Server provider has been assigned to the campaign. An Ad Server provider is assigned to a campaign when at least one committed schedule line has selected that provider as its technology assignment provider.
There are two ways to access the Ad Server Provider dashboard, depending on how many external integration Provider Types have been assigned to the campaign:
- The only Provider Type is Ad Server (one or more Ad Server providers have been assigned to the campaign, and no other Provider Types have been assigned to the campaign):
- Navigate to the campaign's External Integrations tab. The External Integrations tab opens directly onto the Ad Server Provider dashboard.
- Navigate to the campaign's External Integrations tab. The External Integrations tab opens directly onto the Ad Server Provider dashboard.
- There is more than one Provider Type (one or more Ad Server providers and one or more other Provider Types have been assigned to the campaign):
- Navigate to the campaign's External Integrations tab. The External Integrations tab opens onto the External Integrations Overview dashboard.
- In the Ad Server widget (see External Integrations Overview Dashboard UI Elements, item 2), click on one of the Ad Server providers to open the Ad Server Provider dashboard.
- Navigate to the campaign's External Integrations tab. The External Integrations tab opens onto the External Integrations Overview dashboard.
