Overview

Ad Placements on the Ad Server grid can be linked to new or existing placements in an external ad server, reducing the need to manually re-enter trafficking details across multiple platforms:

Manage Ad Placements

Cancel an Ad Placement

If an Ad Server provider only has one Ad Placement assigned to it, that Ad Placement cannot be immediately canceled.

First, the Ad Server provider must be unassigned from the campaign, by removing its technology assignment in the Schedule grid. Then, the Ad Placement can be canceled.

To cancel an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the media campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be canceled.

  2. Navigate to Ad Server Integrations.

  3. Optional: If the appropriate provider is not already selected, use the Provider list to select the desired provider.

  4. In the Ad Server grid, select the desired Ad Placement.

  5. Click the Cancel button.

  6. Click the Save Changes button. Otherwise, the canceling of the Ad Placement will not be saved.

  7. Optional: If the Ad Placement had previously been linked to an ad server placement, there are two options:

    • Re-upload the Ad Placement in order to also cancel the linked ad server placement.

    • Unlink the ad server placement. The unlinked ad server placement can be linked to a different Ad Placement.

Duplicate an Ad Placement

To duplicate an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the media campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be duplicated.

  2. Navigate to Ad Server Integrations.

  3. Optional: If the appropriate provider is not already selected, use the Provider list to select the desired provider.

  4. In the Ad Server grid, select the desired Ad Placement.

  5. Click the Duplicate button. The duplicated Ad Placement has the same Name and Cost Line ID as the original Ad Placement, but a different Ad Placement ID.

  6. Choose one of the following options:

    • Continue making changes, like changing the name of the duplicated Ad Placement.

    • Save changes by clicking the Save Changes button.

View all Ad Placements assigned to a Provider

The Ad Server grid displays Ad Placements by Provider. To change which Ad Server provider's Ad Placements are displayed, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Ad Server Integrations.

  2. Click the Provider list and select the desired Ad Server provider. The Ad Server grid now displays all of the Ad Placements assigned to that provider.

Map a Supplier to an Ad Server Supplier

Once a OneStrata campaign and an ad server campaign are linked, Ad Placements in the OneStrata campaign can be linked to ad server placements in the ad server campaign. However, delivery metrics cannot flow from the Ad Server provider to OneStrata unless the linked Ad Placement has a Supplier entity that has been mapped to an Ad Server provider supplier.

To map a OneStrata Supplier entity to an existing supplier of an Ad Server provider, do the following:

  1. Go to the Ad Server dashboard of the desired Ad Server provider.

  2. If not logged in already, log in to the Ad Server provider.

  3. Click the Supplier Mapping button to open the Supplier/Site Mapping widget.

  4. In the Supplier/Site Mapping widget, do the following:

    1. For the desired Supplier entity, click the corresponding Supplier/Site Mapping cell to start editing.

    2. Enter at least three letters of the Ad Server provider supplier's name.

    3. Select the desired Ad Server provider supplier.

    4. Click Apply.
