Overview
When schedule lines are committed on the Schedule grid, located on the Schedule tab, OneStrata automatically does the following:
- On the Schedule tab: Enables automatic flight period soft locking
- On the Orders tab: Groups committed lines with the same Order ID into orders on the Orders grid
- On the External Integrations tab: For Placement lines with a Technology Assignment value, creates one or more Ad Placement lines on the Ad Server grid
- On the Actualization tab: Creates one or more Order, Cost Package, Media Package, Placement, Fee, and Billing Period lines on the Actualization grid
Ad Placements on the Ad Server grid can be uploaded or linked to a placement on an external ad server campaign, reducing the need to manually re-enter trafficking details:
- Upload an Ad Placement: Create a new ad server placement based on a OneStrata Ad Placement, and link the Ad Placement to the newly created ad server placement. The new ad sever placement is created within the ad server campaign that the OneStrata campaign is linked to.
- Link an Ad Placement: Link a OneStrata Ad Placement to an existing ad server placement. The ad server placement must be part of the ad server campaign that the OneStrata campaign is linked to.
Uploading/linking an Ad Placement to an ad server placement creates a connection that allows delivery costs and metrics to flow from the ad server to OneStrata. The delivery data is available on the Actualization tab.
Upload an Ad Placement as a New Ad Server Placement
Prerequisites:
- The user must be logged in to the Ad Server provider
- The OneStrata campaign must be linked to an ad server campaign
Optional:
- One or more OneStrata Supplier entities are mapped to ad server suppliers/sites. Mapping suppliers is not required in order to upload an Ad Placement, but is required to receive delivery metrics from the external ad server.
Uploading a OneStrata Ad Placement creates a new ad server placement within the ad server campaign that the current OneStrata campaign is linked to. The newly created ad server placement is immediately linked to the Ad Placement.
To upload an Ad Placement (create a new ad server placement and link the Ad Placement to the new ad server placement), do the following:
- Open the media campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be uploaded.
- Navigate to the Ad Server dashboard.
- In the Ad Server grid, select the desired Ad Placement.
- Click the Upload button to open the Upload widget.

Cost Cap Period
Select a cap cost option for the new ad server placement:
- Cumulative Total: Once a certain amount is reached, the media cost (cost of placement delivery) is no longer recorded by the Ad Server provider.
This amount is equal to the sum of the cost of all the flight periods in the Schedule grid line that created the Ad Placement being uploaded. - None: There is no cap cost and all media cost (the cost of placement delivery) is recorded by the Ad Server provider.
Campaign Manager 360 stops recording media cost as soon as your placement receives enough units to equal the sum of the cost for all the flights in your report.
