Overview

Account Groups allow administrators to define a user’s access to a subset of accounts within the Buzz Key. If a user is associated to multiple Account Groups, they will have access to all accounts within those Account Groups. If a user is associated to an Account Group and has the All-Account Access flag set to Yes, the latter will take precedence, giving them access to all accounts in the Buzz Key.

User actions are defined by their assigned Role, but they may perform any of the allowable actions across the accounts to which they have access.

DSP customers should contact their account representative to add users to their account group. This step is necessary because the multi-account customer setting is not enabled for DSP customers, which prevents regular DSP account administrators from modifying the account access level for users

Accessing Account Groups

To access the Account Groups page, navigate to Admin > Account Groups at the top of the screen. Additionally, account groups may be created by selecting the  button at the top right of the UI, then selecting Account Group.

Create an Account Group

The users within the account group will get access to all accounts within the account group. If the same user is in multiple account groups, they will get access to all the accounts within those account groups.

Customer IDs are used as a bounding factor to prevent data breaches because they reflect the billing relationship between the FreeWheel and clients. Only accounts with matching Customer IDs are allowed within the account group and only users within accounts with matching Customer IDs are allowed within the account group.
