Overview

Mutual customers of Experian and Buyer Cloud can onboard their custom third-party segments and first-party segments for activation in Buyer Cloud using the Experian data feed.

If this is your first time pushing Experian segments to Buyer Cloud, you must notify your account representative prior to onboarding Experian segments or audiences. This will ensure that backend system configurations are updated to allow for automatic ingestion of all segments.

How it Works

The process below describes the steps that should occur to successfully register Experian segments within Buyer Cloud:

  1. Reach out to Buyer Cloud support with your buzzkey and account ID to send the segments to. If the segments are intended to be shared across all accounts within a buzzkey, then use the account ID "-1". Buyer Cloud support will enable the configuration to process the data. The ingest filepath formats for taxonomy and segment data files are as follows:

    s3://beeswax-data-us-east-1/segment-registry/taxonomy/experian/<buzzkey>/
    <accountid>

    s3://beeswax-data-us-east-1/user-list/Experian/<buzzkey>/<accountId>/idtype/

  2. After Support configures the S3 file ingest, you can start distributing data to the respective folders. After distributing, onboarded data will be available to the buzzkey and account ID provided in step 1.

    Distribute taxonomy files before segment data files so the segment shell can be created before receiving data.

  3. The onboarded segments will be available to use within 12 hours in the Experian folder in Line Item Targeting. Navigate to Create Line Item or Edit Line ItemTargeting > Segments > Experian folder, and select the subfolder named Buzzkey/AccountID.

Notes

  • This integration is only available to US customers
  • CPM charges are as defined in the taxonomy file, and the billing method does not change from the method used for your other third-party segments
  • No labels
