Overview
Following initial publication of FreeWheel's release guide(s)there may be additional features which would update this guide prior to the release date. In order to stay connected with these updates, FreeWheel offers the ability to opt-in to receiving email notifications whenever these updates are published.

Enable/Disable Email Notifications
Receiving email notifications is done through the Hub's ability to Watch either a specific Release Guide version / page (recommended) or the entire Releases space (not recommended, but an option).
How to 'watch' a release guide version / page and receive email notifications
To begin receiving release guide emails on published updates:
- Navigate to the specific release guide version / page of interest
- Click the eye icon
at the top right of each page - Select the checkbox next to Watch Page.

If you select Watch all content in this space, you will receive email notifications for all updates to all pages in HUB. FreeWheel recommends only watching specific pages to prevent unnecessary email notifications, but this option is available if desired. |
How to stop 'watching' a release guide version / page
To stop watching a single page simply deselect the checkbox directly on the page (see step 3 above).
As an alternative, from your HUB user profile, click Stop Watching on the page(s) you wish to disable notifications for.

What Hub pages can receive email notifications for updates?
FreeWheel has enabled this Watch feature only within the Releases section of the Hub portal. It is not available for any other section (i.e., Documentation) on the portal.
In order to minimize email disruption FreeWheel recommends 'watching' a release guide page for the specific MRM release version of interest. You will receive an email when the page is updated as this will often include a new feature or change that is added to the release guide.
What does the email notification contain?
The email notification will contain the selected release guide content (or page) and highlight the most recent update (i.e., what was added, changed, or removed).
If the page has a high volume of content, only an excerpt will be included in the email. Because of this limitation, FreeWheel recommends visiting the page directly (a link will be provided in the email) and expanding the "List of release guide updates since publication" table to review the changes.
What kind of updates trigger the email notification?
The email notification is sent for every published update to the page. This will include major changes (e.g., a new feature) or small changes (e.g., fixing a typo or formatting change). There is no option to receive email notifications for specific updates.
How can I view all the Release pages I'm 'watching?'
Your HUB user profile will list all the pages being watched (i.e., receiving email notifications), and provide the ability to Stop Watching multiple pages efficiently.
