Create a Campaign Group

To create a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Management > Campaign Groups page.

  2. Click Create Campaign Group.

  3. On the Create Campaign Group > Details page:

    Dates

    Select the start date and end date of the campaign group.

    A campaign can only be linked to a campaign group if the date range of the campaign is completely within the date range of the campaign group.

    Optional

    External ID

    Optional: Enter an additional identifier for the campaign group. This value represents the ID of the campaign group in an external, non-OneStrata system
    Media

    Select the Media Type(s) of the campaign group.

    A campaign can only be linked to a campaign group if the Media Type of the campaign is the same as one of the Media Types of the campaign group.

    Client Group/Client

    Select the Client Group or Client of the campaign group.

    If a specific Client is selected and that Client is part of a Client Group, that Client Group is automatically added to the campaign group.

    A campaign can only be linked to a campaign group if the Client or Client Group of the campaign is the same as the Client or Client Group of the campaign group.

    Optional

    Product Group/Product

    Optional: Select the Product Group or Product of the campaign group.

    If a specific Product is selected and that Product is part of a Product Group, that Product Group is automatically added to the campaign group.

    A campaign can only be linked to a campaign group if the Product or Product Group of the campaign is the same as the Product or Product Group of the campaign group.

    Name

    Enter the name of the campaign group.

    If there is a concatenated formula for the campaign group name, the Name field is automatically populated with the output of the formula:

    • If manual entry is enabled, the auto-generated campaign group name can be changed.
    • If manual entry is not enabled, the auto-generated campaign group name cannot be changed.


  4. Click Next.

  5. On the Create Campaign Group > Objectives page:

    Optional: Enter a description for the campaign group.

    The text that entered in this field is visible in the campaign group's Objectives section, and provides internal-facing context about a campaign group.

    BudgetEnter the budget of the campaign group.
    Budget Cost Type

    Select the cost type of the campaign group budget:

    • Client Gross Cost
    • Client Net Cost
    • Client Total Cost
    • Client Total Cost With Tax


  6. Click Create Campaign Group.

Link a Campaign to a Campaign Group

A campaign can only be linked to a campaign group if:

  • The date range of the campaign is completely within the date range of the campaign group.
  • The Media Type of the campaign is one of the Media Types of the campaign group.
  • The Client or Client Group of the campaign is the same as the Client or Client Group of the campaign group.
  • The Product or Product Group of the campaign is the same as the Product or Product Group of the campaign group, if the campaign group is associated with a Product or Product Group.
  • The campaign is not already linked to a different campaign group.

To link a new campaign to a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Create Media Campaign to open the Create Media Campaign widget.

  3. Follow the steps in Create a Campaign, keeping in mind that the date range, Client/Client Group, and Product/Product Group (if any) of the campaign is restricted by the campaign group.

You can also create a campaign in a campaign group from the Media Campaigns page; see Create a Campaign in a Campaign Group.

To link an existing campaign to a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Manage Link to open the Link Media Campaigns to Campaign Group widget, which displays all campaigns that are linked or can be linked to the campaign group.

  3. In the Link Media Campaigns to Campaign Group widget, select the campaign(s) that will be linked to the campaign group.

  4. Click Link Selected.

Unlink a Campaign from a Campaign Group

To unlink a campaign from a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Manage Link to open the Link Media Campaigns to Campaign Group widget. which displays all campaigns that are linked or can be linked to the campaign group.

  3. In the Link Media Campaigns to Campaign Group widget, campaigns that are currently linked to the campaign group are selected. Deselect the campaign(s) that will be unlinked from the campaign group.

  4. Click Link Selected.

Edit a Campaign Group's Settings

To edit the settings of a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Campaign Settings to open the Edit Settings page.

  3. On the Edit Settings page, edit the settings as desired.

  4. Click Save.

Notes:

  • Archived campaign groups cannot be un-archived. 
  • Unlike campaigns, campaign groups are not automatically archived, only manually archived.
  • Campaign groups cannot be archived if any campaigns are linked to the campaign group.

Archiving a campaign group removes the campaign group from the list of campaign groups displayed by default on the Campaign Groups grid.

To archive a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Campaign Settings to open the Edit Settings page.

  3. At the bottom of the screen, click Archive Campaign.

  4. Read the warnings and click Archive.

Export Multiple Advertiser View Pages of Campaigns in a Campaign Group

Linking campaigns to a campaign groups makes it easier to export the Advertiser View page of those campaigns as an Excel file. Instead of having to go to each campaign and manually exporting its Advertiser View page as individual Excel files, you can export multiple Advertiser View pages at once as a single Excel file.

To export multiple Advertiser View pages of campaigns in a campaign group, do the following:

  1. Go to the Campaign Group Details page of the desired campaign group.

  2. Click Export to open the Export Advertiser View widget. This widget displays all schedule options (committed, draft, or archived) for all campaigns linked to the campaign group.

  3. Select the desired schedule option(s).

  4. Click Download. The downloaded Excel file contains one sheet with campaign group information and one sheet for the Advertiser View page of each selected schedule option.
