Overview

Google Authorized Buyers ("AdX") handles interstitial creative matching is unique compared to differently from other exchanges. AdX sends their interstitial traffic with accommodation for variable sizing, while all Unlike other exchanges that only support the sizes declared sizes on in the bid request, AdX sends interstitial traffic with flexibility for variable sizing.

It Works

To receive ensure the receipt of interstitial traffic across all exchanges, ensure with your Beeswax Account Manager that your bidder is receiving confirm with an Account Representative that the bidder is set to receive traffic filtered by the "Interstitial-- a field on the bid request  " field (imp.instl) that on the bid request, which is populated by all mobile app exchanges populate.

You should NOT have your traffic Traffic should not be filtered by typical specific interstitial ad sizes (i.e. such as 320x480, 480x320, etc.), as it this would exclude a fair amount significant portion of AdX interstitial traffic. 

Standard Creatives on AdX Interstitial Traffic

For creative matching on AdX Interstitial interstitial requests, Beeswax FreeWheel DSP will match any creative size that matches between occupies 50%-100% of the screen width and 40%-100% of the screen height. This means that a creative allows creatives smaller than the full screen mobile screen can size to match and will render be rendered in the middle center of the screen. This matching logic only applies is exclusive to AdX and no does not apply to other exchanges.

Responsive Creatives

A "Responsive or" creative, also known as AdX refers to it, “sizeless” creative "sizeless" by AdX, is one that can be safely resized to different dimensions without causing creative rendering issues. A In the Buzz UI/API, a creative can be marked as Responsive on for any Banner banner tag-based creative in the Buzz UI/API.

Customers should declare their creatives Creatives should only be declared as Responsive if and only if bothboth of the following conditions are met:

  1. The creatives are actually creative is truly responsive (i.e., it can be resized without causing rendering issues) .
  2. The creative is intended to always occupy You always want the creative to take up the full screen size of the mobile device on AdX AdX.

On all other exchanges, the Responsive declaration will be ignored, and the declared creative size is what is will be used for matching instead.

Responsive Creatives on AdX Interstitial Traffic

Once a creative is marked as Responsive:

  • Since responsive creatives marked as Responsive can be rendered at different sizes, Beeswax declares FreeWheel DSP will declare the size for AdX to render in the bid response. In order to To fill the full screen, the size will be set to match the device's width and device height.
  • Beeswax FreeWheel DSP will declare mark the creative as Responsive during the creative approval submission for creative approval on AdX and also in the bid response. This optimization ensures that the creative is approved to bid for bidding immediately for any responsively generated creative size.
