Overview

In OneStrataCampaigns, Ad Placements, and Cost Lines can be linked to entities in external integration providers, creating a connection that allows delivery costs and metrics to flow from the provider to OneStrata:

Once an Ad Placement or Cost Line is linked, any changes in OneStrata can be pushed to the external integration provider by updating the linked Ad Placement or Cost Line

Note
Unlinking a OneStrata campaign from an ad server campaign is only possible if no Ad Placements have been uploaded to the ad server campaign yet.

To unlink a OneStrata campaign from an external campaign (a CM360 campaign, Flashtalking campaign, or DV360 campaign), do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign.

  2. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    • To unlink a CM360 campaign, go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    • To unlink a Flashtalking campaign, go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

    • To unlink a DV360 campaign, go to the DSP dashboard for DV360.

  3. Click the View Campaign button to open the View Campaign widget.

  4. At the bottom of the View Campaign widget, click Unlink.

View the Details of a Linked External Campaign

To view the details of an external campaign (a CM360 campaign, Flashtalking campaign, or DV360 campaign) linked to a OneStrata campaign, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign.

  2. Go to the appropriate external integration dashboard:

    • To view the details of a CM360 campaign, go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    • To view the details of a Flashtalking campaign, go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

    • To view the details of a DV360 campaign, go to the DSP dashboard for DV360.

  3. Click the View Campaign button to open the View Campaign widget.

    The following information about the linked external campaign is displayed:

    Linked ByThe OneStrata user who linked the OneStrata and external campaigns.
    Linked DateThe date that the OneStrata and external campaigns were linked.
    AdvertiserThe name and identifier of the external advertiser, in the external integration provider's platform.
    CampaignThe name of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.
    External IDThe identifier of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.
    Date Range / Start DateThe date range or start date of the external campaign, in the external integration provider's platform.

Unlinking an Ad Placement from an ad server placement has the following effects:

  • The newly unlinked Ad Placement can be linked to a different (new or existing) ad server placement.
  • Delivery data for the now-unlinked ad server placement is no longer available in OneStrata.
  • The unlinked ad server placement is not deleted automatically. If the ad server placement itself should be deleted, this must be done within the Ad Server provider platform.

To unlink an Ad Placement from an ad server placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be unlinked.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard:

    1. To unlink a CM360 placement, go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    2. To unlink a Flashtalking placement, go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

  3. Select the Ad Placement. Only one Ad Placement can be unlinked at a time.

  4. Click the Unlink button. This opens a message asking the user to confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked.

  5. Confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked by clicking the Unlink button. The status of the Ad Placement in the Ad Server grid changes from Uploaded to Not Uploaded.

Update a Linked Ad Server Placement

For a linked Ad Placement and ad server placement pair, any changes made in OneStrata to the Ad Placement are not automatically sent to the linked ad server placement. Instead, these updates must be manually uploaded.

To update a linked an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

  2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard
    On :

    1. To update a CM360 placement, go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

    2. To update a Flashtalking placement, go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

  3. In the Ad Server dashboard:

    1. Make any desired changes to
    , review the values of
    1. the Ad Placement.

    2. Click the Save Changes button to save the changes in OneStrata.

  4. Select the updated Ad Placement.

  5. Click the the Upload button to open the Upload widget.

  6. In the Upload widget:

    1. Review the update the fields as desired. For more information on the fields in the Upload widget, see Upload an Ad Placement as a New Ad Server Placement.
    2. Click the Update button.

 If an Ad Placement and ad server placement are linked, the vendor delivery cost and number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement can be viewed and used for actualization within OneStrata.

To view the delivery metrics of an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

  2. Go to the campaign's Actualization tab.

  3. In the Standard Actualization grid, do the following:

    1. Find the Actualization grid line that represents the linked Ad Placement, using the (Cost Line) ID or External ID values.

      Delivery data is broken out by billing period month, with each month corresponding to a Billing Period line.

    2. If necessary, scroll horizontally until the 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit columns are reached.

      3rd Party CostThe vendor delivery cost of the linked ad server placement.
      3rd Part UnitThe number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement.

The 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit values can be used for actualization. For more information, see Actualize a Standard Media Cost Line, making sure to select 3rd Party as the source in step 7.

    • If the Cost Line is linked to a DSP insertion order, go to the DSP dashboard for DV360.
      If the Cost Line is linked to a Search
    • To unlink a campaign in The Trade Desk, go to the DSP dashboard for The Trade Desk.

    • To unlink a Google Ads campaign, go to the Search dashboard for Google Ads.

    • To unlink a Meta campaign, go to the Search dashboard.
      If the Cost Line is linked to a Social campaign, go to the Social dashboard.

  2. Click the Unlink button. This opens a message asking the user to confirm that the Cost Line should be unlinked.

  3. Confirm that the Cost Line should be unlinked by clicking the Unlink button. The status of the Cost Line changes from Uploaded to Not Uploaded

Update an Entity Linked to a Cost Line

For a linked Cost Line and external entity (a DV360 insertion order, The Trade Desk campaign, Google Ads campaign, or Meta campaign) pair, any changes made in OneStrata to the Cost Line are not automatically sent to the linked external entity. Instead, these updates must be manually uploaded.

To update an external entity linked to a Cost Line, do the following:

  1. Go to the appropriate dashboard:

    • To update a DV360 insertion order, go to the DSP dashboard for DV360.

    • To update a campaign in The Trade Desk, go to the DSP dashboard for The Trade Desk.

    • To update a Google Ads campaign, go to the Search dashboard for Google Ads.

    • To update a Meta campaign, go to the Social dashboard for Meta.

  2. Review the values of the Cost Line. Depending on whether or not the user is currently logged in to the external integration provider, the highlighted values are different:

    • Logged out
    On the DSP, Search, or Social dashboard, review the values of the Cost Line:
    Logged out from the external integration provider
    • : Values that are mismatched between what is currently committed on the Schedule grid and what was last uploaded to the external integration provider are highlighted with a yellow background.

    • Logged in
    to the external integration provider
    • : Values that are mismatched between what is currently committed on the Schedule grid and what is currently in the external integration provider are highlighted with a yellow background.

  3. Select the Cost Line.

  4. Click the Update button to open the Update widget.

  5. In the Update widget:

    1. In the Update Provider Data section, review the values of the Cost Line. The updated values (marked with green) will be sent to the external integration provider and will replace the previously uploaded or current values (marked with red) will be replaced by the new values (marked with green).
      Click the Update button.

    2. Click the Update button.

Delivery metrics are only available for entities linked to standard Cost Lines.

  3. Select the Cost Line.

  4. Click the View Upload button to open the View Upload widget.

    The following information about the linked external entity is displayed:
