Open a Report

To open a report, do the following:

  1. Navigate to the Analytics page.

  2. Click the Toggle Navigation folder icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. In the Folders pane, select the folder that contains the desired report.

  4. Under Looks, select the desired report.

Edit a Report

To edit a report, do the following:

  1. Open the desired report.

  2. Click the Explore actions gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Modify the report query as desired.

  5. Click the Run button to re-run the query.

  6. Click the Save button.

Send a Report

"Sending" a report refers to instantly sharing a report a single time, as an email or directly to an existing Amazon S3 bucket.

Send a Report as an Email

To send a report as an email, do the following:

  1. Open the desired report.

  2. Click the Explore actions gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Send.

  4. In the Send (Name of Report) window, do the following:

    1. For Title, enter the text that will be used as the subject line of the email. If the report is sent as an email attachment, the text is also used as part of the file name.

    2. For Where should this data go?, select Email.

    3. For Who should it be emailed to?, enter the email addresses of the recipients. If entering multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma. Then, click Add.

    4. For Format data as, select the desired format option: Data Table, Visualization, CSV, XSLX, JSON — Simple, Text, or HTML. For more information, see Data Format Options.

    5. Optional: For Filters, modify any existing filters or add new filters to the delivered report. Changing or adding filters when sending a report does not affect the filters in the report itself.

    6. Optional: For Advanced options, select any additional delivery options. For more information, see Advanced Delivery Options.

  5. Click the Send button.

Send a Report to an Amazon S3 Bucket

To send a report directly to an existing Amazon S3 bucket, do the following:.

  1. Open the desired report.

  2. Click the Explore actions gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Send.

  4. In the Send (Name of Report) window, do the following:

    1. For Title, enter the text that will be used in the file name of the delivery. The delivery file name has the format TITLE_TIMESTAMP_HASH, where the timestamp is in the time zone of the delivery (see the Timezone option, under Advanced Delivery Options) and the hash is a randomly generated six-character identifier.

    2. For Where should this data go?, select Amazon S3.

    3. For S3 Details, enter the following information:

      1. For Bucket, enter the name of the Amazon S3 bucket.

      2. Optional: For Optional Path, enter the specific folder to save the report to.

      3. For Access Key, enter the Access Key ID to the Amazon S3 bucket.

      4. For Secret Key, enter the Secret Access Key to the Amazon S3 bucket.

      5. For Region, select the service region where the Amazon S3 bucket is hosted.

    4. For Format data as, select the desired format option: CSV, XSLX, JSON — Simple, Text, or HTML. For more information, see Data Format Options.

    5. Optional: For Filters, modify any existing filters or add new filters to the delivered report. Changing or adding filters when sending a report does not affect the filters in the report itself.

    6. Optional: For Advanced options, select any additional delivery options. For more information, see Advanced Delivery Options.

  5. Click the Send button.

Schedule a Report

"Scheduling" a report refers to sharing a report on a recurring basis, according to a user-defined schedule.

Schedule a Report as an Email

To schedule the recurring delivery of a report as an email, do the following:

  1. Open the desired report.

  2. Click the Explore actions gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Schedule.

  4. In the Schedule (Name of Report) window, do the following:

    1. For Give your schedule a name., enter the text that will be used as the subject line of the email. If the report is sent as an email attachment, the text is also used as part of the file name. 

    2. For Where should this data go?, select Email.

    3. For Who should it be emailed to?, enter the email addresses of the recipients. If entering multiple email addresses, separate each address with a comma. Then, click Add.

    4. For Format data as, select the desired format option: Data Table, Visualization, CSV, XSLX, JSON — Simple, Text, or HTML. For more information, see Data Format Options.

    5. For Trigger, select Repeating Interval.

    6. For Deliver this schedule, select the desired delivery cadence. For more information, see Deliver this schedule Options.

    7. Optional: For Filters, modify any existing filters or add new filters to the delivered report. Changing or adding filters when scheduling a report does not affect the filters in the report itself.

    8. Optional: For Advanced options, select any additional delivery options. For more information, see Advanced Delivery Options.

  5. Click the Save All button.

Schedule a Report to an Amazon S3 Bucket

To schedule the recurring delivery of a report to an Amazon S3 bucket, do the following:

  1. Open the desired report.

  2. Click the Explore actions gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen.

  3. Select Schedule.

  4. In the Schedule (Name of Report) window, do the following:

    1. For Title, enter the text that will be used in the file name of the delivery. The delivery file name has the format TITLE_TIMESTAMP_HASH, where the timestamp is in the time zone of the delivery (see the Timezone option, under Advanced Delivery Options) and the hash is a randomly generated six-character identifier.

    2. For Where should this data go?, select Amazon S3.

    3. For S3 Details, enter the following information:

      1. For Bucket, enter the name of the Amazon S3 bucket.

      2. Optional: For Optional Path, enter the specific folder to save the report to.

      3. For Access Key, enter the Access Key ID to the Amazon S3 bucket.

      4. For Secret Key, enter the Secret Access Key to the Amazon S3 bucket.

      5. For Region, select the service region where the Amazon S3 bucket is hosted.

    4. For Format data as, select the desired format option: CSV, XSLX, JSON — Simple, Text, or HTML. For more information, see Data Format Options.

    5. For Trigger, select Repeating Interval.

    6. For Deliver this schedule, select the desired delivery cadence. For more information, see Deliver this schedule Options.

  5. Click the Save All button.

Deliver this schedule Options

When scheduling a report to be sent on a repeating interval, there are five interval options:

  • Daily: Send a report at a specific time every day, every weekday, or on specific days of the week.

  • Weekly: Send a report at a specific time every week, on a specific day.

  • Monthly: Send a report at a specific time every month, on a specific date.

  • Hourly: Send a report at a specific minute past the hour every 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, or 12 hours, between specified start and (non-inclusive) end hours.

  • By minute: Send a report every 5, 10, 15, 20, or 30 minutes, between specified start and (non-inclusive) end hours.


For the Hourly and By minute options, the specified end hour is not inclusive. For example:

  • If a report is scheduled Hourly every 1 hour at 10 minutes past the hour between 9 AM and 5 PM, the last report is sent at 4:10 PM.

  • If a report is scheduled By minute every 5 minutes between 9 AM and 10 AM, the last report is sent at 9:55 AM.

The time zone of the schedule defaults to America - Los Angeles (US Pacific Time, GMT -7 / -8), and can be changed in the Advanced options section.
