      Unlink an Ad Placement

Unlinking an Ad Placement from an ad server placement has the following effects:

      • The newly unlinked Ad Placement can be linked to a different (new or existing) ad server placement.
      • Delivery data for the now-unlinked ad server placement is no longer available in OneStrata.
      • The unlinked ad server placement is not deleted automatically. If the ad server placement itself should be deleted, this must be done within the Ad Server provider platform.

To unlink an Ad Placement from an ad server placement, do the following:

      1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement to be unlinked.

      2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard:

Unlink a CM360 placement from an Ad Placement

Go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

Unlink a Flashtalking placement from an Ad Placement

Go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

      3. Select the Ad Placement. Only one Ad Placement can be unlinked at a time.

      4. Click the Unlink button. This opens a message asking the user to confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked.

      5. Confirm that the Ad Placement should be unlinked by clicking the Unlink button. The status of the Ad Placement in the Ad Server grid changes from Uploaded to Not Uploaded.

Update a Linked Ad Server Placement

For a linked Ad Placement and ad server placement pair, any changes made in OneStrata to the Ad Placement are not automatically sent to the linked ad server placement. Instead, these updates must be manually uploaded.

To update an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

      1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

      2. Go to the appropriate Ad Server dashboard:

        Update a CM360 placement

Go to the Ad Server dashboard for CM360.

        Update a Flashtalking placement

Go to the Ad Server dashboard for Flashtalking.

      3. In the Ad Server dashboard:

        1. Make any desired changes to the Ad Placement.

        2. Click the Save Changes button to save the changes in OneStrata.

      4. Select the updated Ad Placement.

      5. Click the Upload button to open the Upload widget.

      6. In the Upload widget:

        1. Review the updated values that will be sent to the Ad Server provider.

        2. Click the Update button.

View the Delivery Metrics of a Linked Ad Server Placement

If an Ad Placement and ad server placement are linked, the vendor delivery cost and number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement can be viewed and used for actualization within OneStrata.

To view the delivery metrics of an ad server placement linked to an Ad Placement, do the following:

      1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the linked Ad Placement.

      2. Go to the campaign's Actualization tab.

      3. In the Standard Actualization grid, do the following:

        1. Find the Actualization grid line that represents the linked Ad Placement, using the (Cost Line) ID or External ID values.

Delivery data is broken out by billing period month, with each month corresponding to a Billing Period line.

        2. If necessary, scroll horizontally until the 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit columns are reached.
3rd Party CostThe vendor delivery cost of the linked ad server placement.
3rd Part UnitThe number of delivered units of the linked ad server placement.

The 3rd Party Cost and 3rd Party Unit values can be used for actualization. For more information, see Actualize a Standard Media Cost Line, making sure to select 3rd Party as the source in step 7.
