Overview

Creative Weighting enables precise budget allocation across creatives associated with a line item. For example, when creative A demonstrates higher effectiveness than creative B, creative weighting can be configured to serve creative A twice as frequently as creative B.

Creative weighting cannot be applied across creatives with different sizes or placement types.

Process for Setting Up Creative Weighting

  1. Start by creating a line item.

  2. In the line item overview, select 'Weighted' from the 'Creative Weighting Method' dropdown. 

    'Random' remains the default behavior, which serves associated creatives randomly.

  3. Associate creatives with the line item and assign a value between 1 and 100 for each creative to determine its relative serving weight. Weights will serve in proportion to each other. Example: Assigning creative "A" a weight of 2 and creative "B" a weight of 1 means "A" will serve twice as often as "B" (2:1 ratio).

  4. Select Save & Close to finalize the configuration.
