Overview OneStrata's integrations with external ad servers  enable a simplified ad trafficking workflow: Description Build and commit a media schedule in OneStrata. Cost Lines assigned to an Ad Server provider create Ad Placements on the Ad Server dashboard. On the Ad Server dashboard, link a OneStrata campaign to a new or existing campaign in the Ad Server provider. On the Ad Server dashboard, link an Ad Placement to a new or existing placement in the Ad Server provider. Within the ad server platform, customize the linked ad server placement as desired In OneStrata, view delivery metrics from the linked ad server placement: 3rd Party Cost  column: The delivery cost, as calculated by the system. 3rd Party Units  column:  The number of units delivered, as retrieved from the Ad Server provider. Tracking Ad Placements are uploaded to the ad server campaign as a 1x1 pixel tracker, regardless of the listed  Format  and  Format Dimension  values. Ad Placement Types An Ad Placement can be placed in different ways, depending on the selected Ad Server provider and service type: Ad Server Provider Service Type Ad Placement Type CM360 Ad Serving Display In-Stream Video In-Stream Audio Tracking Display (1x1) In-Stream Video (Any) In-Stream Audio (Any) Innovid (formerly Flashtalking) Ad Serving HTML VAST Native Audio Tracking Pixel Multi-Tracker Ad Server Dashboard Access the Ad Server Dashboard The Ad Server dashboard is only available if a campaign contains at least one Ad Placement (a committed  Placement that has been assigned an Ad Server provider ). There are two ways to access the Ad Server dashboard, depending on how many provider types have been assigned to the campaign: Assigned Provider Types Action The only provider type is Ad Server Go to the campaign's  External Integrations  tab, which opens directly onto the Ad Server dashboard. There is more than one provider type Go to the campaign's External Integrations tab, which opens the External Integrations dashboard. In the  Ad Server  widget, select the desired Ad Server provider. Ad Server Dashboard UI Elements The Ad Server dashboard contains the following elements: Item Description Campaign header The campaign header contains the name and ID of a campaign, information about campaign status, and access to campaign management tabs and settings. For more information, see  Campaign Header Reference . Provider Login  section View and manage the connection to the Ad Server provider: Provider connection status: Not Connected : The user is not logged in to the provider Connected : The user is logged in to the provider, and the External Integration login credentials are displayed. The  Log In  /  Log Out  button Log In  button: Click to log in to the provider Log Out  button: Click to log out from the provider External Campaign Details  section View information about the linked Ad Server campaign, if any. Campaign Name : The name used by the Ad Server provider for the Ad Server campaign External ID : The identification number used by the Ad Server provider for the Ad Server campaign Campaign Date Progress  section View information about the duration of the OneStrata media campaign, in terms of days elapsed and days remaining. Filters  icon Click to open the filter pane and filter through the list of Ad Placements. Undo  /  Redo  buttons Click to undo or redo any changes to the Ad Server grid that have not been saved yet. Search  bar Search for an Ad Placement by: Name ( Ad Placement Name ): The name of the Ad Placement ID ( Ad Placement ID ): The OneStrata-generated identification number of the Ad Placement EID ( External ID ): The identification number used by the Ad Server provider for the Ad Placement Supplier Mapping  button If the user is not logged in to the provider, the  Supplier Mapping  button is inactive. If the user is logged in to the Ad Server provider, the  Supplier Mapping  button is active. Click the  Supplier Mapping  button to map a OneStrata Supplier to an ad server supplier. Link Campaign / View Campaign  button If the OneStrata is not linked to an ad server campaign, this button is the  Link Campaign  button. If the user is logged in to the Ad Server provider, the  Link Campaign  button is active. Click the  Link Campaign  button to link the OneStrata campaign to an ad server campaign If the user is not logged in to the Ad Server provider, the  Link Campaign  button is inactive. If the OneStrata campaign is linked to an ad server campaign, this button is the  View Campaign  button: Click the  View Campaign  button to view details about the linked ad server campaign or to unlink the ad server campaign. Unlinking an ad server campaign is only possible if no Ad Placements have been uploaded to the ad server campaign Export  button Click to export the  Ad Server  grid as an Excel file. Save Changes  button If there are new, unsaved changes to the  Ad Server  Grid, the  Save Changes  button is active. Click the  Save Changes  button to save any changes made to the  Ad Server  grid If there are no new changes to the  Ad Server  Grid, the  Save Changes  button is inactive. Ad Server Grid A list of Ad Placements, by Ad Server provider. For more information, see  Ad Server Grid Reference . Cancel  button Select an Ad Placement and click the  Cancel  button to cancel the Ad Placement. Unlink  button Select an Ad Placement that has been linked to an ad server placement and click the  Unlink  button to unlink the Ad Placement from the ad server placement. The Ad Placement status changes from  Uploaded  to  Not Uploaded . Link  button  Select an Ad Placement and click the  Link  button to link the Ad Placement to an existing ad server placement. Duplicate  button Select an Ad Placement and click the  Duplicate  button to duplicate the Ad Placement. Upload  button Select an Ad Placement and click the  Upload  button to upload the Ad Placement as a new ad server placement. Ad Server Grid Reference The columns and column order of the Ad Server grid are defined by the External Integrations template. For more information, see the  External Integrations Template  and  System Default External Integrations Template . The Ad Server grid displays information about the campaign's Ad Placements by Ad Server provider.  The following table describes the default columns and column order of the Ad Server grid: Input Type Column Name Description Generated Item Type The type of the Ad Server grid line: Package Ad Placement Generated Status The status of the Ad Placement: Not Uploaded : The Ad Placement is not linked to an ad server placement. Canceled  (gray) :  The Ad Placement was  canceled in OneStrata  before being linked to an ad server placement. Uploaded : The Ad Placement is linked to an ad server placement. Edited : The Ad Placement is linked to an ad server placement, but has since been edited. Re-upload the Ad Placement to update the ad server placement. Upload Failed : The Ad Placement failed to be linked to an ad server placement. Hover over the status to see an error message. Canceled  (yellow): The Ad Placement was linked to an ad server placement and then  canceled in OneStrata . However, the linked ad server placement has not been canceled in the ad server campaign yet. Re-upload the Ad Placement to cancel the ad server placement in the ad server campaign. Archived : The Ad Placement is canceled in OneStrata, and the linked ad server placement is canceled in the ad server campaign. Concatenated, Generated, Copied Name / ID  This column has a maximum length of 512 characters. The name and identification number of the Ad Server grid line. If  Item Type  is  Ad Placement : Name ( Ad Placement Name ): The name of the Ad Placement ID ( Ad Placement ID ): The OneStrata-generated identification number of the Ad Placement EID ( Ad Placement External ID ): The identification number used by the Ad Server provider for the Ad Placement. An Ad Placement does not have an  EID  value until it has been uploaded to a linked ad server campaign If  Item Type  is  Package : Name ( Ad Placement Package Name ): The name of the Package ID ( Media Line ID ): The OneStrata-generated identification number of the Media Line that generated the Package Copied Cost Line ID The OneStrata-generated identification number of the Cost Line that generated the Ad Server grid line. The  Cost Line ID  value is copied from the Schedule grid. Copied Start Date The start date of the Ad Server grid line. The  Start Date  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied End Date The end date of the Ad Server grid line. The  End Date  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied Rate Type The  rate type  of the Ad Placement. The  Rate Type  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied Supplier The Supplier associated with the Ad Placement or Package. The  Supplier  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied Format The format of the Ad Placement. The  Format  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied Format Dimension The dimensions of the Ad Placement. The  Format Dimension  value is copied from the Schedule grid line that generated the Ad Server grid line. Copied Service Type The  service type  of the Ad Placement: AdServing : The Ad Placement is served by the Ad Server provider Tracking : The Ad Placement is tracked by the Ad Server provider Selected Placement Type How the Ad Placement is placed. The possible Placement Type values depend on the selected Ad Server provider and Service Type. For more information, see  Placement Types . By default, the value of  Placement Type  is set to the value of  Default External Placement Type , which is part of the  Technology Assignments  column on the Schedule grid. Generated Last Upload The date and timestamp of when the Ad Placement was last uploaded and the person who uploaded it. The  Last Upload  value is generated based on when a user last uploaded the Ad Placement.
