Overview  The Pacing dashboard provides a comprehensive view of real-time On-Schedule Indicator (OSI) trends and valuable insights into deal performance. It features charts for Accumulative Delivery, representing total progress, and Incremental Delivery, illustrating step-by-step advancements. Additionally, the dashboard includes basic deal configuration information and a change history table that logs key changes potentially impacting pacing and delivery. Pacing in programmatic ad delivery refers to the distribution of an advertiser's budget or impressions over a specified period of time. The goal is to ensure that a deal delivers its ads evenly or according to a predefined schedule, rather than exhausting the budget too quickly or under-delivering. Pacing UI Troubleshooting Widgets Widget Description Global Filters The Global Filters section enables users to apply different filters and subset the data displayed in Pacing.  Mode Filter Description Historical,  Real Time Time Range The start and end points (date and time) of the displayed data. Dates and times are displayed in the time zone of the current network, a network-level setting.  The available date range is the previous 3 months, plus the current month. Historical,  Real Time Granularity Whether the data in the current page's charts are plotted in intervals of one hour or one day. By default, data is plotted in one-hour intervals. Filter values are fixed: 1h  (default): Data is plotted in one-hour intervals 1d : Data is plotted in one-day intervals Historical,  Real Time User Drop Off Slot Whether or not an ad slot was reached by a viewer. User drop-off occurs when a viewer stops watching content before reaching an ad slot. When a viewer actually reaches an ad slot within a content stream, the video player informs the ad server of a Slot Impression event. The number of User Drop off Slots is equal to the number of Slots without a Slot Impression event. By default, all ad slots are included.  Including or removing User Drop Off Slots impact all slot-, avails- and impression-related metrics, but does not impact ad request-related metrics. Historical,  Real Time Deal FreeWheel selects a deal to populate this filter by default. The user interface provides a banner to indicate whether the deal supports OSI calculation. The user can then use the filter to select other deals. Historical,  Real Time Primary/Fallback Ad Primary Ad: The primary ad intended for the slot. Fallback Ad: To avoid wasting inventory, the system provides a fallback ad function. It basically means the ad server could select multiple ads for the same position in one slot to form a "fallback chain," so when the one ad on the chain fails to play, the next ad should be tried until one ad on the chain plays, or the chain is depleted. Accumulative Delivery Metric Description To-Date Net Counted Ads The number of ad impressions delivered from the beginning of the deal until the present time, with partial invalid traffic (IVT) filtered out. This will be used for OSI calculation and cannot be compared with Net Counted Ads.  FreeWheel supports revenue goals for PG deals. If the deal is set with money budget, then the metric will use  To-Date Revenue and Ideal To-Date Revenue in the Accumulative Delivery chart.  Ideal To-Date Net Counted Ads The expected number of ad impressions delivered from the beginning of the deal until now.  OSI On Schedule Indicator (OSI) showing how the deal is delivering compared to its pacing curve.  To isolate a particular trend, select a metric in the chart legend. The chart will show only the trend line for the selected metric. Click the metric again to revert changes. Users can also multi-select or multi-unselect metrics in the trend graph by holding the command  or  Windows  key and selecting a metric. Users can also hover over a portion of the chart to zoom in on a particular date and/or time.
