Overview  The Bid Density dashboard provides a comprehensive view of bidding prices, clearing prices, and average price trends, helping users understand the bids received and the final clearing outcomes. The dashboard offers insight into the following:  Understanding true demand by evaluating and comparing received bids, valid bids, and actual selected ads Informing pricing strategy by evaluating and comparing bidding price and clearing price trends Isolating and uncovering bidding behavior and activity for specific deals, DSPs, and buyers with filters Bid density refers to the volume of bids received over time and helps measure the level of competition and demand for ad inventory offered programmatically. The granularity of the charts provided on the Bid Density dashboard allows users to observe bid levels and their outcomes. Bid Density UI Bid Density Widgets Widget Description Global Filters Changing global filters changes data across all of charts and tables for the Bid Density page.  Filter Description Time Range The start and end points (date and time) of the displayed data. Dates and times are displayed in the time zone of the current network, a network-level setting.  The available date range is the previous 3 months Deal Allows users to include or exclude data from one or more specific programmatic deals. DSP Allows users to include or exclude data from one or more specific DSPs. Buyer The unique, system-generated identifier and name of the programmatic buyer specified in the demand partner's bid response.  Site Allows users to include or exclude data from one or more specific sites. Site Section Allows users to include or exclude data from one or more specific site sections. Demand Type Specifies the particular demand type (also referred to as deal type) for the data displayed in the dashboard. Options include: Programmatic Guaranteed (PG) Non-PG Country The country/countries that ad requests associated with the network item came from, with each country returned in its own row. Bidding Price This chart displays the bidding price for deals within the selected time period. The bidding price refers to the amount of money an advertiser is willing to pay to display their ad to a specific audience.  The x-axis bounds will usually match the selected price range. If the selected range exceeds the received bidding prices, the bounds will be limited to the lowest and highest received bids.  Metric Description Received Bids The total number of bids received for the corresponding deal in the bid request. Valid Bids Total number of valid bids received from demand partners. This value is calculated using the following formula: Received Bids - Failed Bids Selected Ads Total number of Programmatic ads included in the ad response, considering user drop off. To isolate a particular trend, select a metric in the chart legend. The chart will show only the trend line for the selected metric. Click the metric again to revert changes. Users can also multi-select or multi-unselect metrics in the trend graph by holding the  Command  or  Windows  key and selecting a metric. Users can also hover over a portion of the chart to zoom in on a particular date and/or time. Clearing Price This chart displays the clearing price for deals within the selected time period. The Clearing Price chart shows the actual price paid by the winning bidder for ad inventory. This price may not be the same as their maximum bid.  The lower bound & upper bound of the X axis will normally be the selected price range, with an exception when the selected price range exceeds the lowest & highest clearing price; in this case, the lower bound will be limited to the lowest clearing price, and the upper bound will be limited to the highest clearing price. Metric Description Selected Ads The ad selected because it has the actual price paid by the winning bidder for ad inventory The data can be viewed as a line Chart or table and exported to a CSV. Select and hover over a section of this chart for a zoomed-in view of the data. Average Price Trend The Average Price Trend chart shows the Average Bidding Price, Average Clearing Price, and eCPM by hour or by day.  Please note that hourly data only supports historical data—and at most 8 days. The data can be viewed as a line chart or table and exported to as a CSV file.  Breakdown Tables Similar to other dashboards in Streaming Hub the Bid Density page provides a breakdown table, providing users with more robust and granular information when monitoring performance and troubleshooting programmatic delivery issues.  The Bid Density table has six tabs: Deal , DSP , Buyer , Site , Site Section , and Country . Each tab uses global filtering options to isolate data for specific demand types. The table offers pertinent information related to the associated sites and site sections for deals, DSPs, or buyers, as well as geoChartical information by country.
