The Administration > Reference Data > Cost Categories tab displays information about an enterprise's cost categories.

The Cost Categories tab contains the following elements:

| 2 | Filters icon | Click the Filters icon to open the filter pane and filter through the list of cost categories. |
| 3 | Search bar | Search for a cost category by name, identifier, or external identifier. |
| 4 | Create Cost Category button | Click to create a new cost category. |
| 5 | Applied Filters bar | Displays any filters that have been applied to the Cost Categories grid. By default, the Status filter is applied, and inactive cost categories are filtered out. |
| 6 | Cost Categories Grid | A list of an enterprise's cost categories. For more information, see Cost Categories Grid Reference. |
The following table contains information about columns in the Cost Categories grid:
Column Name | Description |

Status | The status of the cost category.
|
Name / ID | Name (Cost Category Name): The name of the cost category. ID (Cost Category ID): The OneStrata-generated identification number of the cost category. |
Code | The identifying code of the cost category. |
Group | For future use. |
Agencies | The Agency or Agencies associated with the cost category. The cost category can only be applied to Cost Lines in campaigns for the specified Agency/Agencies or Business Unit(s). If this value is blank, the cost category can be applied to all Agencies. |
Business Units | The Business Unit(s) associated with the cost category. The cost category can only be applied to Cost Lines in campaigns for the specified Agency/Agencies or Business Unit(s). If this value is blank, the cost category can be applied to all Business Units. |
Medias | The Media Type(s) associated with the cost category. The cost category can only be assigned to Cost Lines in campaigns that have the same Media Type. |
