Info

In order to add IAS verification to a OneStrata placement, you must traffic the placement through an ad server integrated with OneStrata, following the normal steps:

  1. Add a Technology Assignment to the placement in the Schedule grid, creating an Ad Placement when the placement is committed.
  2. Link the Ad Placement to a placement in the external ad server platform.

Given an existing Credential record for IAS, there are no other actions that you need to take in OneStrata to add IAS verification. However, you will need to make sure that an IAS tag is added to the placement in the ad server platform, otherwise IAS metrics cannot be pulled into

However, OneStrata's integration with IAS is not direct; there is no entity in OneStrata that is linked to an entity in IAS. Instead, IAS verification can be added to Ad Placements and Packages that are trafficked through an ad server integrated with

OneStrata.

To add IAS verification to an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Create a Credential record for IAS, if one does not already exist. This credential record allows OneStrata to retrieve reporting metrics from your IAS account.

  2. Link a OneStrata Ad Placement to an external ad server placement through one of OneStrata's Ad Server provider integrations:

  3. In the external ad server platform, wrap the ad server placement with an IAS tag. If your ad server account is linked to your IAS account, this tag wrapping may be added automatically.

Wrapping the ad server placement with an IAS tag creates a link between the ad server and IAS, which is then used to pull IAS metrics into OneStrata via the link between OneStrata and the ad server.

Info

Ad verification metrics are only available for Ad Placements that have an impression rate type and that are trafficked through an ad server integrated with OneStrata. The available Ad Server providers are:

  • Campaign Manager 360 (CM360)
  • Innovid (formerly Flashtalking)

To view the IAS verification metrics for an Ad Placement, do the following:

  1. Open the OneStrata campaign that contains the Ad Placement.

  2. Go to the campaign's Actualization tab.

  3. In the Standard Actualization or Margin Actualization grid:

    1. Find the Actualization grid line that represents the linked Ad Placement, using the (Cost Line) ID or External ID values.

Delivery data is broken out by billing period month, with each month corresponding to a Billing Period line.

    2. If necessary, scroll horizontally until the Verified Cost column is reached. For ease of comparison between ad server delivered units and IAS verified units, the Variance column is also available:
      Column NameDescription
      Verified Units

The number of verified units delivered, as retrieved from IAS.

This value is equivalent to the IAS Viewable Impressions metric.

      Variance

The difference between the delivered units as reported by IAS and the delivered units as reported by the Ad Server provider.

This value is calculated according to the following formula:

Variance = 3rd Party Units - Verified Units

      3rd Party Units

The number of units delivered, as retrieved from the Ad Server provider.
