Unique Seat IDs Provided for All Customers and Accounts
What is it? All Buyer Cloud customers now have one or more unique seat IDs. These new seat IDs are persistent across all SSPs.
There are two types of seat IDs:
| Seat Type | Description | Usage |
|---|---|---|
| Customer Seat | Every customer receives a unique Customer Seat ID. | Use the Customer Seat ID when all accounts under the same customer are eligible to bid on a deal. |
| Account Seat | Customers with more than one account also receive a unique Account Seat ID per account. Customer with only one account only receive a Customer Seat ID. | Use the Account Seat ID when only a specific account is eligible to bid on a deal. |
Previously, seat IDs were provisioned to customers upon request. These legacy seat IDs were SSP-specific, making seat management challenging because customers had to manage different seat IDs per SSP.
With the new unique seat ID taxonomy, you can now also view deal floor prices through the Deal ID w Bid Floor field. This field is available on:
- The Metamarkets > Bids & Win dashboard.
- The Metamarkets > Auctions dashboard, for customers with a custom deployment only.
Where is it? To view your new seat ID(s), do one of the following:
- Go to the Admin > Accounts pageand select an account. The new Customer Seat ID and Account Seat ID (if applicable) sections are in the Overview tab.
- In the top navigation ribbon, hover over the Admin module, then Seat IDs. The new Customer Seat ID and Account Seat ID (if applicable) sections are displayed.
Do I need to do anything? No immediate action is required. However, we recommend using your new seat IDs(s) when creating new deals:
- Starting February 10th, 2026: Use your new seat ID(s) only when creating deals with FreeWheel.
- Starting February 24th, 2026: Use your new seat ID(s) when creating deals with any other SSP.
